Leading Edge

Leading Edge Leading Edge raises the standard for talent, culture, and leadership across the Jewish nonprofit field.

What if the Jewish nonprofit sector were the place everyone dreamed of working? Leading Edge helps Jewish organizations improve their workplace culture and leadership so that they can better achieve their missions. We help organizations improve their employees' experience at work, and that helps organizations recruit great people, keep them wanting to stay there, and develop them into leaders. We also help executives and boards lead and collaborate more effectively.

Part programmer, part air traffic controller.
That's how we describe the VP, Program role we're hiring for at Leading Edge. You'll bring order to a busy Programs team: building repeatable systems, deepening how we use data, and making sure every participant experience hits a high bar.
We're looking for someone who thinks in systems, optimizes processes for a living, and leads with empathy. Bonus if you've worked in the Jewish communal field.

Remote (U.S.) • $145K–$155K • Apply by June 1

This , we’re reflecting on the famous phrase “na’aseh venishma” — “We will do and we will hear.”

Notably, it does not appear at the thunderous moment of the Ten Commandments. It comes later, after a much longer and more demanding set of laws. Earlier, the people declared “all that the Lord has spoken we will do” — but stopped there. Intention without the sustained attention that creates real understanding and lasting change.

The distinction between intention and attention has been on our minds at Leading Edge. Intention declares what matters. Attention is the hard, ongoing work of bringing it to life.

As Prof. Jonathan Haidt told NYU’s class of 2026: “Treasure your attention more than the people who want to take it from you.”

Our work with the Jewish nonprofit sector confirms this truth. What drives people is not ease, but meaningful progress on work that matters — hard things done together for something larger than ourselves.

Improving culture is hard. And it is deeply meaningful when it happens.

Wishing everyone a Shavuot of deep reflection and sustained attention.

Ḥag sameaḥ!

Huge congratulations to Cohort 2 of the Onboarding Intensive on wrapping up a powerful in-person retreat! 🙌 🙌

Last week in Chicago, we were blown away by just how fully participants showed up — present, engaged, and ready to grow the whole time. They gained practical tools, uncovered their leadership strengths, and built real, lasting connections in the Jewish nonprofit sector.

This is what the Onboarding Intensive program is all about.🔥

A little bit of "Oy," a little bit of "Yo." 🥨 Between the heavy lifting of field mobilization and refining our matrix workflows, we made sure to soak in the history at National Museum of American Jewish History. Huge thanks to the museum for hosting our team — having us all together in such a meaningful space reminds us that while strategy is the foundation, the authentic connection we share is what actually makes the impact possible. Aligned, energized, and ready for the work ahead!
