Welcome to my page! I am excited to share a project I have been working towards for around a year. I created the organization Warm Hands, Warm hearts for Women in homeless shelter’s to get the everyday necessities many of us are so fortunate to have access to every day. This is a issue in America, and New York especially. Ever since I was a little girl I would go to NYC with my family quite often and the heartbreak I would feel seeing so many families huddled to stay warm, children sleeping on the street, pregnant women cold in the winter, none of it felt right and I always knew so wanted to prevent this in the future as much as I possibly could. This organization is sponsored by Coalition For The Homeless ,which I am so fortunate for! The reason I chose Coalition For The Homeless to be the shelter I donate to is because this shelter values diversity, equality and including no matter what your background is which is something I as a person value SO much. By setting up informational donation tables at fairs and sporting events throughout the reminder of this year and continuing in following years, the plan is to raise money to make backpacks filled with products such as: deodorant, blankets, water bottles, toothpaste & toothbrushes, feminine products such as maxi pads and tampons, and much much more. This organization would not be possible without the help of Coalition For The Homless being the drop off sorce of the backpacks in which they take the bags we fill and distribute them at their shelter. I am so excited to start working hard towards this organization and share it with everyone!
