The week parashah contains many commandments calling us to protect the vulnerable, act honestly, return what is lost, pay workers fairly, and never forget the dignity of another person. The Torah teaches us that righteousness is built through everyday choices. A kind word, an honest action, a helping hand, and the courage to stand up for someone in need can become powerful expressions of our faith.

May this Shabbat inspire us to look beyond ourselves—to see those who need compassion, to lift those who are struggling, and to make justice and kindness part of our daily walk. May we carry the light of Shabbat into the world and become instruments of healing and peace.

The Torah reminds us that the strength of a community is reflected in the integrity of those who lead it and the courage of those who uphold righteousness. In a world where division, corruption, injustice, and conflict can so easily take root, Shoftim challenges each of us to become agents of justice and peace.

As we enter the holiness of Shabbat, may we examine our own hearts and ask: Am I contributing to justice? Am I building peace? Am I treating others with fairness, dignity, and compassion? May our words bring healing, our actions bring blessing, and our choices reflect the values of Torah.

As we enter the sacred month of Elul, we enter a season of return, reflection, renewal, and drawing closer to Hashem. Elul is not simply another month on the calendar; it is a divine invitation to pause, look within, repair what has been broken, forgive where forgiveness is needed, and prepare our hearts for the days of awe ahead.

The sound of the shofar calls us to wake up from spiritual complacency and remember who we are, whose we are, and what we were created to become.

from ! May this Elul awaken something deep within us: a renewed hunger for Torah, a stronger commitment to mitzvot, a heart ready to forgive, and the courage to begin again. May every prayer rise higher, every act of kindness become greater, and every step toward Hashem bring us closer to the person we are meant to be.
