Teach NYS Combating the Tuition Crisis through greater government funding.

The Teach Advocacy Network is a national effort to combat the tuition crisis through greater government funding. Founded by the Orthodox Union, a network of prominent lay leaders, and more than 75 leading yeshivas & Jewish day schools, the Teach Advocacy Network has delivered hundreds of millions of dollars in government aid to non-public schools. Through its regional offices in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland and California, we advocate every day for government programs and funding that will help every child receive the best education in a safe and secure environment.

Governor Kathy Hochul has officially announced that New York will say “YES” to the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program.

👏 This is a major milestone families across our state.

As only the second Democratic governor to opt in, Governor Hochul is paving the way for other blue states to follow.

🚨 GOV. HOCHUL ANNOUNCES $70M TO COMBAT HATE

With the High Holidays approaching and concerns about antisemitism heightened, Gov. Hochul announced $70M in security grants to secure communities against hate.

Project Protect, Teach Coalition security arm, wrote 39 of these grants for institutions across New York.

The funding will help Jewish schools and synagogues access critical security measures, including security guards, cameras and alarm systems.

The state is also increasing police presence at Jewish sites during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

We’re grateful to see NY taking action to help keep our community safe.
