As we enter Shabbat, we remember Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark who were killed one year ago in an act of political violence, and keep Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette in our thoughts.

One year later, we continue to face a crisis of political violence – and we cannot allow ourselves to grow numb to extremism and dehumanization. Jewish safety and inclusive democracy are inextricably linked. May Melissa and Mark's memories be for a blessing.

“It is vital that we invest in whole-of-government and whole-of-society approaches that will keep Jewish and all communities safe.” — Amy Spitalnick in JTA News.

The bipartisan Jewish American Safety Act helps do just that.

The Jewish American Safety Act would strengthen proven tools to combat antisemitism, bolster community security, protect students' civil rights, and address hate and extremism online.

As Jews, we believe every person is created b’tzelem Elohim — in the image of God.

That’s why we support the dignity & equal rights of LGBTQ+ people and communities.

Pride is a celebration of that central truth: that every person deserves to live openly, safely, & with dignity.

Antisemitism is rising. Congress can help protect our communities by passing the bipartisan Jewish American Security Act.

Tell your representatives to support this critical legislation and strengthen the tools that keep Jews and other vulnerable communities safe.

Today, JCPA CEO Amy Spitalnick joined lawmakers on Capitol Hill to support the House introduction of the Jewish American Security Act.

At a time of rising antisemitism, this bipartisan legislation would strengthen protections for our communities, bolster campus civil rights enforcement, expand the Nonprofit Security Grant Program, and address online antisemitism and extremism.

We at JCPA are grateful to Sen. Jacky Rosen, Senator James Lankford, Congressman Dan Goldman, and Rep. Mike Lawler for their leadership in introducing the Jewish American Security Act.

When Edith Windsor challenged the federal government's refusal to recognize her marriage, she transformed grief into action. Her case helped dismantle discriminatory policies and moved the country closer to marriage equality.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the courage it takes to challenge injustice — and the impact that can follow when someone refuses to accept unequal treatment under the law.

One year ago today, the Boulder community was targeted in a violent act of antisemitism. We remember Karen Diamond and all those impacted -- and refuse to accept antisemitism and violence as “normal.”

Keeping communities safe requires directly confronting antisemitism & hate in all forms, building real solidarity, and strengthening the inclusive democracy that protect all of us.

Pride began as a fight simply to live authentically. Thanks to so many LGBTQ+ heroes, we've come far - and there’s much work ahead.

Equality, safety, and the dignity to be who we are — created b’tzelem Elohim — are the sacred values we must always work toward.

"They" are human beings.

As Jews, we know all too well where government propaganda like this leads.

This is white supremacist extremism that inevitably fuels violence.
