The Saint Andrew’s Society of the State of New York was established in 1756.

June 19, 1865, over 2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation, Union Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and issued General Order No. 3, which officially enforced the Emancipation Proclamation and liberated the remaining 250,000 enslaved African Americans in the state. Celebrate Juneteenth, our country's second independence day.

Scamper over to the AKC Museum of the Dog for a special exhibition in a kid-friendly atmosphere with engaging family activities. Advanced registration is appreciated. Scavenger hunt and crafting will be available through the duration of the event, storytimes will take place at 12:30pm and 1:30pm.

March with the Society today in Ridgefield CT in honor of the Patriots and veterans who supported the cause of American independence, and remember the sacrifices made at the Battle of Ridgefield. The Parade is open to all.

Celebrate the Semiquincentennial Thursday, May 21st at the Museum of the American Revolution with a private docent led tour of the museum, and “the crown jewel in the collection,” the actual tent used by George Washington as his headquarters during the American Revolution. Following the tour will be cocktails and dinner at the Museum.
