SECTION 1591 explores the s*x trafficking of minors in the U.S.A. and the extraordinary resilience of those who have survived it. At its centre is Jeff Tiegs, a former U.S. Delta Force operator who advocates law enforcement and Homeland Security work to expose one of America’s most abhorrent hidden crimes.

LET US BE is an intimate portrait of Inters*x individuals—born with s*x anatomy not typically male or female. Frequently, parents of inters*x children are pressured into allowing doctors to perform immediate surgery on their children. This robs Inters*x people of their agency to choose to undergo these invasive surgeries which will affect them for the rest of their lives.

Nominated for Best Documentary Feature, and Viviane D'Avilla’s film is an insightful, informative and intimate story that explores the lives of three inters*x individuals in America, Brazil and India.

For his feature debut, Stefano Bertelli has created a riveting stop-motion version of early 1990s planet Earth in which everything is made of paper.

Presenting our Icon Award recipients for ✨

We are proud to announce that acclaimed actress and iconic film director will receive this year’s Raindance Icon Awards.

A posthumous award will be presented to rock & roll icon . Presented to Eddie's sister and mum, this Icon Award is set to be displayed alongside his original Gretsch guitar and his other trophies at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.

Miriam will receive the honour at our Opening Gala on 17 June, with the world premiere of Michel K. Parandi’s APRIL X. Lloyd’s daughter, Lily Hayes Kaufman (whose debut feature Occupy Cannes has its UK Premiere at Raindance on 18 June) will accept the Icon Award on her father’s behalf.
