Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

We remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost, including coworkers, parents, children, friends, first responders, and passengers aboard four hijacked flights. We honor the 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, and 37 Port Authority police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while helping others.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to be inspired by the courage, compassion, and resilience that emerged from tragedy. Today, we pause to honor those we lost and the heroes who answered the call.

CHCF was proud to welcome Assembly Member Yudelka Tapia today and receive $200,000 in funding for our after-school programs.

During her visit, students showcased hands-on STEM projects, including a robotic car and a volcano experiment, highlighting the innovation and learning that takes place in our programs every day.
We are grateful for Assembly Member Tapia's investment in our youth and commitment to expanding opportunities for children and families across our community.

Fact: High-quality after-school programs help students develop academic, social, and leadership skills while providing a safe and enriching environment beyond the school day.

Thank you, Assembly Member Tapia, for supporting the next generation. 💙
