Today is National 529 Day, which promotes 529 savings plans and encourages parents to save for education. A 529 plan allows families to put money aside for education expenses while taking advantage of valuable tax benefits. Speak to your financial planner about whether this type of plan is right for you.

Whether you use a 529 plan or another savings vehicle, keep in mind some savings guidelines.
• Start saving for educational expenses early, particularly college.
• Set clear savings goals.
• Set up automatic contributions on a regular basis from your paycheck or recurring bank transfers, whether it is $100 a month or $500 a month.
• Be mindful of the risk – the younger the child, the more you may want to consider more aggressive investments, but you may want to move out of those higher-risk investments and into lower-risk ones as the date when you will need to use the money inches closer.

MMBB Celebrates New Ministry Headquarters at Interchurch Center

MMBB officially relocated to new office space on the 15th floor of the Interchurch Center, beginning a new chapter after more than six decades on the 16th and 17th floor. The new space brings New York staff together on one floor, fostering greater staff collaboration in a shared, contemporary, light-filled workspace. Designed not only to support collaboration, but also hospitality and the organization’s evolving needs, the new location reflects MMBB’s commitment to serving its members and ministry partners well into the future.

To mark the occasion, MMBB held a Service of Dedication and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on May 5, 2026, with attendees joining both in person and via livestream. Among those present were members of the Board of Managers, ABCUSA General Secretary Rev. Dr. Gina Jacobs-Strain, and MMBB staff. When worry begins to weigh on us, this scripture gently redirects our hearts. We don’t have to carry the burden alone. Through prayer, gratitude, and trust, we can release our anxieties to God—and receive a peace that goes beyond what we can understand. Even in uncertainty, God’s serenity will guard our hearts and minds.

That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” – John 16: 13-15

In honor of Pentecost this Sunday, we share a verse from John 16, where Jesus promises the coming of the Holy Spirit to provide his disciples with divine guidance and revelation. The Holy Spirit does not act independently. This passage emphasizes the unity of the Trinity, as the Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus by conveying his teachings. It underscores how Jesus is central to God’s plan and the Spirit’s role in illuminating his truth to believers.
