🌟 Meet Our Panelists! 🌟

We're thrilled to introduce the incredible voices joining us on June 18th for our Faith & Immigration evening at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in the Bronx!

🎙️ Rev. Dr. Raymond Rivera — Founder of the Latino Pastoral Action Center (LPAC), a pioneering organization rooted in faith-based community advocacy.

🎙️ Adama Bah — Founder & Executive Director of Afrikana, and a powerful voice for immigrant justice.

Moderated by Dr. Lizanne Espina of Love Gospel Assembly and doctoral graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary.

This evening will bring together faith communities, advocates, and neighbors for a meaningful panel discussion on the intersection of faith and immigration — followed by a House of Worship Know Your Rights (KYR) training with practical tools to support immigrant communities in your congregation and beyond.

Co-hosted by the Interfaith Center of New York, Council Member Amanda Farias, and Hands Off NYC.

Please join ICNY and ST. BART'S-New York City on Tuesday, June 2, for an evening of postcard writing and conversation in support of the federal Protecting Sensitive Locations Act (H.R. 1061 / S. 455). People of all faiths and none are welcome! Pizza dinner will be served.

This proposed federal legislation would prohibit immigration enforcement at places of worship, schools, hospitals, courthouses, and other sensitive locations. We’re writing to Senator Chuck Schumer and Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, asking them to co-sponsor the legislation and protect our sacred spaces. Your voice can make a difference for New York’s immigrant communities!
