Started in 1999 by the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), Justice For Our Neighbors (JFON) is a national network of church-based, volunteer-supported im
migration law clinics that provide free legal advice and representation to vulnerable, low-income immigrants. We currently serve clients in the New York metropolitan area at four church-based clinics:
--Chinatown, Manhattan: Chinese UMC, founded in 1999
--Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn: John Wesley UMC, founded in 1999
--Flushing, Queens: La Promesa Mission, founded in 2000.
--Long Island: Hicksville UMC, founded in 2014.
