Past. Present. Future.
Past: Do we all remember the tournaments and league we grew up playing? Basketball? Soccer? Some came from work, some crossed states, some even flew in the night before.
It was pride. Passion. Representation. Love for the game in its purest form.
Fathers & mothers cheering, brothers & sisters cheering. Entire families emotionally invested.
That generation had identity and truthfully played with a kind of heart we may never see again.
Present: The level today isn’t higher because the past wasn’t strong. It’s higher because we’ve evolved while carrying those roots.
We grew from that foundation. Higher standards, preparation, organization and expectation. The game is sharper. Margins tighter.
We’re lucky they paved the way and believe it or not, we’re obligated to take it to the next level.
We continue to build on that foundation.
Future: You will take this organization and community to even bigger levels. Levels never seen before. Among the best in the world.
There’s no doubt in our mind. But our responsibility is to create that pathway and avenue. It is on us to set the standard at home first, then outside. Keep listening, observing and learning.
