Audubon Schools Audubon Schools operates 3 public schools: Audubon Charter - Uptown, Audubon Charter - Gentilly, and Audubon Charter - Baton Rouge.

Audubon Schools became a charter management organization in 2018 in response to the expansion of our flagship school, Audubon Charter School. Originally established as Audubon Montessori school and later chartered as Audubon Charter School following Hurricane Katrina, the demand for Audubon Charter School far outpaced the number of seats available each year with approximately 800-1,000 applications for up to 200 available seats year over year. In working with Orleans Parish School Board, Audubon Charter School transitioned to a charter management organization and established a second school - Audubon Charter Gentilly. In 2025, Audubon was granted an opportunity to expand our network to the Capital City of Baton Rouge. In the fall of the 2025-26 school year, Audubon Baton Rouge will open its doors, servicing students from grades K-5. Audubon Baton Rouge will follow the model of our Gentilly Campus, with an innovative academic model with focus on arts inclusions.

The Upper Campus Employee Spotlight for October goes to Mr. Ryan Reilly!

As a new member of the Audubon team this year, Ryan Reilly, our Theater teacher, has brought warmth, creativity, and a caring, hardworking presence to our campus. Always smiling and eager to connect with students, he has quickly made his classes a favorite among our Audubon Rarebirds. Through his enthusiasm and collaborative spirit, he is bringing new energy to our school and helping students discover and showcase their talents. September Employee Spotlight: Ms. Yolanda Williams!

Audubon Lower School is proud to recognize Ms. Yolanda this month! Despite having many office “home bases” she always jumps back in to helping out wherever she can—from doling out snacks at aftercare, to greeting grandparents at special friends day, she’s always willing to help. We couldn’t do it without her, and we are so grateful for all of the many roles that she holds at Audubon. She has a heart of gold and is a true model of the Rarebird spirit. Thank you for all that you do, Ms. Yolanda!
