We would like to give a big shoutout to Ascend Bank! This year Ascend Bank volunteered for our New Reach Auction, led by Heidi Samuelson, and helped clean up our warehouse. Shalonta Ford sits on our New Reach Board of Directors and works diligently to spread the mission of New Reach. Jason McConnell is on the board of New Reach Lending Company and is an amazing asset to the organization. We couldn't do what we do without the support of Ascend Bank!

A huge thank you to CfAL for Digital Inclusion and Mr. James Mitchell for their generous donation of new computers (and toys!) to Life Haven and Martha's Place!

These computers are more than just technology. They are tools for transformation, giving our clients access to job applications, housing searches, virtual appointments, educational opportunities, and the digital skills they need to build brighter futures.

Every application submitted, every new skill learned, and every connection made brings someone one step closer to self-sufficiency and permanent housing.

The New Reach Stable Families Program was honored with the Be Homeful Award for Innovative Work to End Family Homelessness from the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness. This award celebrates individuals or groups pioneering effective methods to end family homelessness in their communities.

Stable Families is an eviction prevention program that integrates social work, advocacy, and legal assistance to address the underlying drivers of housing instability. The initiative serves approximately 300 adults and children annually and has maintained a 90% success rate in preventing eviction and homelessness over the past three years.

We are deeply honored to receive this recognition and grateful to CCEH for acknowledging our impact. This award reflects the dedication of our staff and partners who work together every day to help families remain safely housed.

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2026 New Reach Auction! Your generosity enables New Reach to respond to urgent community needs through crisis services, homelessness prevention programs, and long-term housing solutions that serve over 4,000 people annually. We couldn't do it without you!

We are incredibly grateful to Mattress Firm for their generous contribution of 82 new mattresses for Life Haven and Martha's Place.

At New Reach, we believe that quality sleep is vital for healing, restoring energy, and supporting each person’s journey toward stability and independence. This much-needed gift has created more comfortable and welcoming spaces for the women and children we serve.
