We aim to embrace the people and efforts of our church community by supporting our children and their programs, our committees and their goals, our staff and their efforts on our behalf, and each other. We aim to help address the larger community’s challenges in such areas as racial, social, and economic justice; ecological sustainability; education; and support of the arts. We endeavor to reflect in our own growing numbers, the cultural and ethnic diversity of our area. We commit to enhancing our understanding and acceptance of the diverse religious expression present in our greater community, including reaching out to other faiths in mutual respect and with shared goals.

Today marks 10 years since the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, FL. We continue to hold those 49 lives lost in our hearts and continue to fight in their names. ❤️

We know all too well the devastating toll gun violence takes on the LGBTQ+ community, particularly transgender and LGBTQ+ people of color. And on that night 10 years ago, 49 people—the majority of whom were LGBTQ+ and Latinx—were taken too soon.

We demand change. We demand action. We urge states and the federal government to work with the communities most impacted by gun violence to develop real solutions.

Our Social Justice Committee is working hard to provide a welcoming space for the whole family. Pets welcome!

Join us this Thursday, June 11, 2026 for our FIRST EVER Pride LGBBQT fundraiser, during AHA! Night.

Location: The First Unitarian Church

Free entry:
Board games, painting, self-guided tours, other activities

Other services: food pantry, community resources, bathrooms, free parking in rear while you stop by

Fundraising: Some food items will be for sale, and our thrift store will be open

We are committed to reducing waste. If you have any pride swag you want to donate or no longer need please bring it. We will accept all donations.
