Batucada Otu Level is a Cabo Verdean Percussion Drumming, entertainment and educational group in New Bedford, MA. It’s main goal is to introduce a small Cape Verdean cultural taste, to the community in New Bedford along with others communities. The group is constituted of about 18 people that are linked thorough their Capeverdean roots and their love for the batucada drum music. We are
always looking forward to new members, even if you have no experience. So if want to learn more about batucada or want to have something fun to do during your spare time, please contact us at batucadaotulevel@gmail. Batucada Otu Level has performed at different events such as Cape Verdean Night by Cape Verdean Student Association at University of Massachusetts Boston and at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, The Brava Carnaval in Pawtucket, the First Annual Gala Fundraiser Party by Project Health CV Inc., New Bedford Parade, etc. The group is very excited to perform/entertain at any type of events and will ignite the euphoria of its audience, even if the audience have never heard this type of music before. Batucada Otu Level é um grupo de entretenimento batucada de New Bedford, MA, e seu principal objetivo é introduzir uma pequena amostra cultural Caboverdiana para a comunidade em New Bedford e outras comunidades. Batucada é um tipo de ritimo Africano de influência, que é tocado por diferentes, repetitivos e rápidos ritmos de tambores. É um tipo de música que vão animar quem o ouve. O grupo de Batucada Otu Level é constituído por cerca de 18-20 pessoas que estão ligadas pelas suas raízes cabo-verdianos e seu amor para a música de tambor batucada. Até pessoas de diversas culturas também são bem-vindas para se juntar ao grupo. Nós também sempre estão ansiosos com novos membros, mesmo se você não tem experiência.
