🍎 PACE is Hiring: Cook for Head Start! 🍎

Do you love nourishing little ones with healthy, home-cooked meals? PACE, Inc. is looking for a qualified Cook to join our Head Start Program team and help fuel the growth of over 200 children in Greater New Bedford.

In this role, you'll prepare nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for preschoolers and classroom staff, following federal and state nutrition guidelines that keep kids healthy, energized, and ready to learn.

What we're looking for:
🥕 Minimum of 2 years preparing meals for 100+ children daily
🥕 High School diploma or GED preferred
🥕 Experience in quantity food purchasing
🥕 Knowledge of proper sanitation and food safety practices
🥕 School food service experience preferred
🥕 ServSafe Certification (required within 90 days of hire)
🥕 Valid driver's license
🥕 Ability to pass CORI and DCF background checks

💰 Compensation: $20.96 to $25.96 per hour, plus an additional $1.00 per hour for dual language speakers. 35 hours per week, 42 to 52 weeks per year.

💙 PACE offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation, sick time, paid holidays, low-cost health and dental insurance, and no-cost term life insurance.

Join us for a summer community event at the PACE Community Food Center, a chance to enjoy some fun, grab a bite, and spend time with neighbors.

Celebration of Seniors is HERE!

Tomorrow is the big day, and we can’t wait to welcome you for another incredible Celebration of Seniors! Doors open at 8:15 a.m., with breakfast beginning shortly after. Get ready for an inspiring morning featuring an outstanding speaker lineup, with opportunities to connect and plenty of resources for aging well and living independently.

This year, we’ll once again fill every room at White’s of Westport with 70 vendor organizations, plus our main breakfast and stage area. And the weather? ☀️ The forecast is calling for another beautiful, sunny day with plenty of parking waiting for you. Last year, more than 700 people joined us to celebrate, connect, and learn and we’re so excited to do it all again.
