Congratulations to Jeff Maxwell of Smithville, MO, on his appointment as Missouri-Arkansas Kiwanis Governor! 🎉
Jeff is our Club Coach and has inspired us to seek out opportunities to connect & serve, time and time again! He also has a contagious laugh. 😁

👏Kiwanis is Action!👏
A big thank you to our Kiwanis volunteers who supported the Cardboard Theater production of Alice in Wonderland this weekend! 🎭

Our volunteers—and some wonderful friends and family members—helped staff the ticket booth and concession stand, making the event a smooth and enjoyable experience so family and friends of the stars could enjoy the show or take a much needed break.

Kiwanis in ACTION!

We ended up having seven people work the full shift at the Pop Shack Friday night during the Vernon County Youth Fair.

Our volunteers went above and beyond. They truly stepped up, and I am so incredibly thankful for each of them. They exceeded every expectation I had, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group. 😆

A special thank-you to Kelsey and Kermit for making sure we had all the supplies we needed and for taking the time to walk me through everything when we arrived.

I also want to recognize Joe Wilson, who jumped right in and even purchased 100 servings of ice cream and popsicles when the ice cream machine couldn’t keep up with the demand. His generosity and willingness to help made a huge difference.

Thank you again to everyone who gave their time, energy, and support. It was a wonderful evening, and I truly appreciate each of you!

What a special day for our Kiwanis club! We were honored to receive an official Kiwanis International gong as a generous gift from the Kiwanis Club of Joplin — a club established and thriving since 1920!
David Niebur, Lt. Governor, Region 12, MO-Ark District, presents the Kiwanis gong to President Kalli Gober.

We also celebrated new member Stephanie Mosher, who received her Kiwanis membership certificate and pin from President Kalli Gober. Welcome to the Kiwanis family, Stephanie!

Moments like these remind us of the friendships, traditions, and service that make Kiwanis so meaningful while serving our community!

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Vernon County is excited to share an additional school that we were able to donate books to for our current literacy project with our community!
Through the Eye of the Tiger E-Club with Kiwanis International, our new club was honored to receive a collection of books—and even more excited to place them into the hands of students in the Bronaugh School District! Supporting youth literacy and fostering a love of reading is at the heart of Kiwanis service, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in all classrooms in Vernon county.

We appreciate everyone who helped make this project possible, and we’re thankful to Bronaugh for welcoming us into your school!

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Vernon County is excited to share a recent literacy project with our community!

Through the Eye of the Tiger E-Club with Kiwanis International, our new club was honored to receive a collection of books—and even more excited to place them into the hands of students across the Nevada R-5 School District. Supporting youth literacy and fostering a love of reading is at the heart of Kiwanis service, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our local classrooms.

These photos feature Nevada R-5 librarians alongside their book donations. A special thank you to high school librarian Amanda Po***ck for helping coordinate distribution across the district. While many of the titles were better suited for younger readers, she played a key role in ensuring the books reached the students who could benefit most.

We appreciate everyone who helped make this project possible, and we’re thankful to Nevada R-5 for welcoming us into your schools!

Our goal to increase membership to 40 (or more) members before May 22nd is set! 💙Let's do this again!💛
A second Kickstarter Grant would be $1,000 for Vernon Co. programs for kids! We did it once, the FIRST club in the US to qualify for a Kickstarter Grant, and we CAN do this again!

Members joining April 1-30 ($81), joining May 1-21st ($75). Applications and due payment must be received by the club secretary before May 21st to qualify for the grant goal.
2027 annual dues ($150) will be invoiced in August, due October 1.

Today was a proud and exciting moment for our Kiwanis club!
--We were honored to present a $1,000 check to Healthy Nevada in support of their Snack Pack Program, which provides nutritious food to local children after school and on weekends.
--Because our club reached more than 30 members, we were awarded this $1,000 grant — and we are putting every dollar directly back into our community. Through our partnership with Healthy Nevada and their Snack Pack Program, these funds will help ensure kids in our area have access to healthy snacks when they need them most.
--As a new Kiwanis club, this is exactly the kind of impact we hoped to make — serving children, strengthening partnerships, and stepping up to meet real needs right here at home.
--We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Healthy Nevada and excited to see the difference this program will continue to make.
