WELCOME!
We are so excited to welcome Mattia from Malnate, Italy! He will be here through the Rotary Exchange Program for the 2026-2027 school year.

Jenny & Josh Angus are not new to hosting exchange students as they hosted Mohamed from Egypt last year. Rotary is lucky to have the Angus family as hosts.

Adam and Sara, fellow Rotarians, were also there to help welcome Mattia to Iowa. They help with the exchange program, if you have any questions or may be interested in hosting an exchange student, they would be happy to speak with you.

Thank you Nevada Monument for helping Rotary Club of Nevada set our rock for Rotary Pond.

This past week Rotary members helped to set our rock at SCORE park. Thanks to Brian & Chris for taking the lead on this and the many other Rotarians who helped to make this happen.

Through a generous grant from Rotary District 6000 Iowa, we have been able to add amenities to the pond, like a place to sit in the shade, Denny’s Dock, lighting and more to come!

Brian, thank you for your service and leadership throughout this past year. We truly appreciate all you have done for our club and community.

During his year as president, Brian helped lead the effort to build a shelter and provide seating are at Rotary Pond in SCORE Park. He also volunteered countless hours to support Rotary and our community, always with a smile on his face!

Thank you, Brian, for all you have done and continue to do for Rotary and our community. We are grateful for your dedication and service.

We look forward to Jordan leading the way in the year ahead!

Mason's Light House

Today we heard about a great project under way that could use your help!

After losing her son to a rare disease, Shanna and her husband have made it their mission to provide a Respite Care and Hospice Home for kids 0-21 years old in Iowa. After staying in a hospice home for kids in Minnesota, they wanted to bring this idea to Iowa. They currently own the land in Iowa City to build on, and are currently raising funds to build a house. The home will have four children's respite rooms and three hospice rooms connected to family suits. This will allow them to serve 250 families per year.

ROTARIANS AT RAGBRAI 🚴💙💛

What a day!

Our fellow Rotarians were everywhere you looked, from flipping SPAMBURGERS, to raise money for the Camelot Theater’s marquee restoration, cheering people on at the Human Slot Machine, volunteering throughout the festivities, riding in RAGBRAI, and doing what Rotarians do best…serving others with a smile.

Today wasn’t just about feeding hungry cyclists or creating fun memories…it was about showing thousands of visitors what makes Nevada such a special community.

To everyone who volunteered, donated, stopped by for a SPAMBURGER, took a spin at the Human Slot Machine, or simply encouraged our efforts, thank you! Your support helped us welcome over 30,000 guests with the warmth, hospitality, and community spirit that makes Nevada shine.

Service Above Self was on full display today, and we couldn’t be more proud of our Rotarians and everyone who helped make RAGBRAI such a success. 🤩🚴
