This week, we had the honor of celebrating two outstanding Rotarians.

Dan Johnson of State Bank & Trust Co.-Nevada, Iowa was inducted into our Rotary Club’s Hall of Fame. Dan consistently goes above and beyond for our club and community. Whether he’s proudly wearing his Rotary socks or tie, serving our youth, or stepping up wherever help is needed, Dan embodies the spirit of “Service Above Self.” Thank you, Dan, for all you do for Nevada and our Rotary Club.

We also honored Michelle Cassabaum of 21st Century Rehab, PC, who received Rotary District 6000’s Guardian of Integrity Award. District Governor Norlan Hinke joined us to present this well-deserved recognition. Michelle exemplifies integrity both professionally and personally in all she does at work, at home, and throughout our community. She not only has the Four-Way Test displayed in her office, she lives it every day. Thank you, Michelle, for all you do to make our community stronger.

Congratulations to both Dan and Michelle on these well-deserved honors. We are proud to call you fellow Rotarians!

Denny’s Derby 🎣

What a great day for our inaugural Denny’s Fishing Derby. Thank you to everyone who came out to Rotary Pond today.

Rotary is excited to be a part of this years RAGBRAI ride through Nevada. We will be serving pizza slices, thanks to Burke Corporation - Fully Cooked Meats.

Funds raised will go to the Camelot Theater Foundation for their Marquee!

As we wrap up another incredible year with our Junior Rotarians, we want to wish a huge CONGRATULATIONS to this extraordinary group of seniors graduating this weekend!

Today our Jr. Rotarians shared their favorite memories, future plans, and the many experiences gained through Rotary. Throughout the year, they built connections, learned about their community, and learned about giving back. Oh yeah, and the lunches were good too!

During the basketball season they hosted Chuck-A-Duck and raised an amazing $900, donating every dollar to Cubbie's Cupboard, a non-profit food pantry at Nevada Middle School. Thank you!

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and cannot wait to see the extraordinary things they will do next. Best of luck to each of you in your future endeavors, and please come back and visit!

Today, Rotary Club of Nevada celebrates 104 years of making a difference!

Members of our Rotary Club took time to pose in their best “serious” face in the home where it all began, Briggs Terrace/ Evergreen Lane.

From then to now, our mission remains the same: Service Above Self. Here’s to 104 years and many more to come!

Resurrection Recovery

Thank you to Taine & Deb with FUMC for your presentation about FUMC’s 12 step faith based recovery support group. This group is for individuals and loved ones seeking support for personal addiction, family addiction and mental health.

They meet the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays at 5:45 at FUMC Chapel. Pizza is provided.
