Last night we celebrated Mom being inducted into the NHS Fine Arts Wall of Fame! 🎶❤️

Her dedication to the choirs has officially become part of NHS history forever. We are beyond proud to see her passion honored in such a beautiful way. What an incredible reminder that the impact you make on others truly lasts.

I’m super excited to share that Bridget Norcross will be the 2026 NHS Fine Arts Wall of Fame recipient! This honor recognizes individuals who have made a lasting and meaningful impact on NHS Fine Arts programs, and her impact is undeniable.

If you were ever around during her Show Choir Mom era, you know just how much she gave to the program. Whether she was chaperoning competitions, helping with costume changes backstage, nailing her part in the 2011 show, or bringing unmatched energy and encouragement to pump up both the choirs and the crowd, my mom poured her heart into supporting NHS show choir.

Even after her passing, her legacy has continued to uplift NHS show choir students making her the perfect person for this award. The Bridget Marie Norcross Show Choir Memorial Scholarship established in for graduating seniors has awarded 11 scholarships since its creation in 2018. This year, her impact grew even further with the creation of the Bridget Norcross General Choir Fund, which will be used to help contribute to the cost of choir costumes for students needing assistance.

My mom's passion, generosity, and love for NHS Fine Arts continues to resonate, inspire, and make a difference—and this recognition is a beautiful reflection of that legacy. My family and I are so excited to accept this honor for her at the NHS Show Choir Classic on February 21st!

Some might be wondering why we decided to create a second, separate general fund — and the answer is simple: the support for this scholarship has been absolutely out of this world! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we currently have 21 YEARS of scholarships already funded!

While we would happily fund 100 years’ worth of scholarships, we also know the choir has ongoing needs that deserve support right now — especially when it comes to things like student costume accounts. Our family felt this was a beautiful opportunity to continue sharing the love and memory of Mom in additional ways, and to help meet some of those immediate needs in the meantime. 🩷

After Justin Norcross finished college, his parents, Jody & Bridget Norcross, along with friends, took the reins at J & J. Bridget adored connecting with customers at the stand, but her heart truly sang when it came to her kids and their passion for show choir❣️

In Bridget’s memory and as an effort to keep her spirit and love for the arts alive, her family established the Bridget Marie Norcross Memorial Show Choir Scholarship. This scholarship helps young, talented students pursue their dreams, echoing Bridget's unwavering support for music and talent.

As in previous years, we are honored to host a donation box at the J & J Fireworks stand for anyone who wishes to contribute to this meaningful scholarship. Your donations help support the next generation of performers!
