BREAKING: LEVEL 4 RISK UPGRADE⬆️ for destructive straight-line winds up to 100mph, softball-sized hail, and the potential for tornadoes across Kansas into extreme Northern Oklahoma later today. Cannot even rule out a significant tornado or two if storm mode remains discrete longer into the evening. PLEASE BE WEATHER AWARE, and PAY ATTENTION TO THE WEATHER.

A strong system brings the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms late Monday night through Tuesday. Primary hazards are expected to be large hail and damaging wind gusts. Remain Weather Aware!

SPC outlook for Monday. Mentions "eastern Kansas" and "potential for strong tornadoes". Please make sure you are paying attention to weather on Monday. I will make a bunch of noise to keep folks as aware as I can. Purple area in Iowa is a very high probability of tornadoes. For a "day 3" outlook... these are big numbers. Areas farther south... in the "lower risk" will see fewer storms...but fewer storms doesn't mean "weaker". There could a be a big tornado anywhere in the area with black marks on Monday. A strongly unstable and strongly sheared warm sector will exist
along and east of the dryline from eastern Kansas southward to West
Texas. Forcing is much weaker than farther north with only weak
height falls along the dryline. However, most guidance shows minimal
inhibition along the dryline and at least isolated storm
development, perhaps aided by some nocturnal low-level jet increase
during the evening. Any supercells which develop will pose a threat
for all severe hazards including the potential for strong tornadoes.---------------------------------

Computer guidence continues to show strong support for potentially a severe weather outbreak on Monday currently focusing on Iowa and this threat will shift to northern Illinois Monday night with a squall line. For now, it's just a system to monitor until we get closer.
