Last night was SO much fun!! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our first annual Trivia Night Plus! We had 9 teams and raised money to support Girls Empowerment with the schools and STEAM day with Cottey and the MU extension office.

Congratulations to Team Fish on winning the night! We also had several winners for our heads or tails and suits side games, and Karen was our 50/50 raffle drawing winner.

Big shout out to Allison for planning such a great fundraiser and all our AAUW members for volunteering in so many ways to ensure the night was a success.

Thank you so much to Kerri Snyder and Beverly Harbit for speaking on Women's Heart Health during our February meeting at the Library Annex. We hope everyone who attended learned more about warning signs and symptoms and a few easy changes you can make every day to decrease your risk of a cardiovascular event.

Don't forget, the date for the Planning Meeting has been changed to Monday, June 17th at 6:00PM at the All Saints Episcopal Church. Please bring a salad to share for the supper, and drinks and paper goods will be provided (Thank you JoAnn and Sara).

We are excited to plan our 2024--2025 AAUW year, and hope to see all members there!

Today is the day! Voting opens for the 2024 AAUW National Election. As an AAUW member, you may vote anytime between now and May 15th. Please click the link to learn more, and consider voting to open membership to any individual who supports AAUW’s important mission of advancing equity for women and girls. This will allow our local chapter the opportunity to bring forth new members and grow, while we continue to do work in the community as well.

It's Equal Pay Day.....and women still earn at most 84 cents for every dollar men make!

Women working full-time, year-round jobs earn 84 cents for every dollar men make, and part-timers make even less. Women have to work well into March before they earn what men made the year before.
