A sweet young small breed dog that is looking for her forever home. Go meet Lily Rose at the Nevada Animal Shelter!

Sweet, spunky, and full of personality, Lilly Rose is a 1-year-old Jack Russell/Beagle mix looking for a patient family to call her own. Lilly Rose gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a home with older children who can respect her space and help her continue building confidence. She is not a fan of cats, so she'll need a feline-free home. Lilly Rose can be nervous around men and will need someone who understands that trust takes time. With patience, kindness, and a predictable routine, she has the potential to blossom into an incredibly loyal companion. Once she feels safe, her playful and loving personality starts to shine. If you're looking for a sweet girl who just needs someone to believe in her, Lilly Rose may be the perfect match. Come meet her and see if you're the forever family she's been waiting for.

Congratulations to the Nevada Animal Shelter for this great accomplishment! Keep working hard for our community and the pets in your care.

We’re proud to once again be recognized by Best Friends Animal Society for maintaining no-kill status in 2025, saving 90% or more of pets who entered our shelter. This level of lifesaving takes dedication, resources, rescue partners, and community support every single day. Because of you, we have achieved this milestone 3 years in a row! We will continue to try our hardest to keep maintaining this status for 2026!

Help prevent the next batch of unwanted litters. Please spay and neuter!!

Feline Fact Friday

Did you know … Kittens can get pregnant as early as 4 months old?

They can have kittens by 6 months (while they’re still kittens themselves) — and continue having litters every ~9 weeks. 😳

That means kittens born in the spring can have their own litters by fall.

This is how populations explode so quickly — and why early spay/neuter is critical.

Spaying, neutering, vaccinating, and ear tipping community cats helps stabilize colonies, reduces suffering, and prevents more kittens from being born outdoors.

Be part of the solution.
