What does your gift do?

A $50 gift helps one person meet their hygiene needs for a full year.

That means access to essentials like soap, deodorant, and toothpaste.

These products are essential, but they are not covered by SNAP or WIC.

Right now, your gift can go twice as far.

Jessica and Crawford Del Prete will match every gift dollar for dollar up to $25,000 through May 31.

Today, we're sharing some welcome news.

Hope & Comfort is one of 157 nonprofits receiving a Spring 2026 Community Fund grant from , the Cambridge Community Foundation. This support strengthens our ability to keep essential hygiene products moving through our network of trusted community partners and into the hands of the children, teens, and adults who count on them.

Hygiene is not a small thing. A clean body and fresh clothes are part of how a young person walks into class ready to learn. They're part of how an adult shows up to a job interview with confidence. They're part of how a family holds steady through a hard month.

We're grateful to Cambridge Community Foundation, and to every partner, donor, and volunteer who makes this work possible. Together we are across Cambridge and beyond.

A notable step forward for hygiene equity.

We are encouraged to see leaders like Rep. Mike Lawler and Congresswoman Sarah McBride helping elevate hygiene insecurity in the national conversation through the introduction of the TANF Hygiene Access Act, legislation aimed at exploring innovative ways to improve access to hygiene essentials for low-income households.

While the legislative journey is just beginning, moments like this matter.

They reflect growing awareness that hygiene insecurity deserves attention, investment, and policy solutions.

We were honored to join Wonderfund’s Period Party last Friday, where our CEO Kerry Carter spoke about the importance of access, dignity, and partnership in addressing hygiene insecurity.

As one of Wonderfund MA's partners, Hope & Comfort proudly provided tampons and pads for the event to help ensure young people have access to the period products they need.

We are grateful to partner with organizations like Wonderfund that are helping break stigma and expand access to basic necessities.

Together, we can make dignity possible for everyone. 🧡
