Hope & Comfort’s mission is to provide essential hygiene products - such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, and menstrual products - to support the health, dignity, and confidence of children and adults in need in Massachusetts.

Hundreds of community organizations across Massachusetts are on a waitlist just to get basic hygiene products to the people they serve.

Dedham Savings is helping fix that. Their funding expands our distribution across their service area and moves waitlisted partners, schools, food pantries, shelters, into active service. It'll cover the hygiene needs of 200 people for a full year.

Soap. Toothpaste. Deodorant. Most assistance programs don't cover any of it. But it's the stuff that shapes someone's whole day.

Last month, some volunteers show up in uniform, and we mean that literally.

We recently had the honor of welcoming a group of U.S. Navy Sailors and U.S. Marines who gave their time as part of Sail250, the historic celebration marking 250 years of American naval history. Together, they prepped thousands of hygiene products that will go directly into our upcoming back-to-school distributions.

Think about what that means for a student heading into a new school year with the essentials they need to feel ready, healthy, and confident.

That kind of impact starts with people willing to show up and put in the work.

Today is our Back to School event! We will be distributing back to school essentials to over 30 area schools. Huge thanks to all our volunteers and Give n' Glow for partnering with us to ensure kids are able to show up to school ready to learn.

It all started with a birthday party.

🎂In 2011, instead of presents, one family asked for donations — and uncovered something much bigger: a massive unmet need for hygiene essentials across Massachusetts. That moment became Hope & Comfort.

Fifteen years later, we're the largest hygiene-product distributor in the country, exclusively focused on this one mission. From a birthday wish to 5.1 million products distributed. That's what happens when a community shows up.
