Welcome to our last ...of the month!

Our campers know that no two Wildflower summers are quite alike. Some relish their independence and spend the season at sleep-away camps. Others build their skills by attending a different sports camp each week. Many love their tried-and-true day camps, or branch out to international trips and scholastic opportunities.

Our campers and families are courageous in their explorations, knowing that they can depend on the constants: Wildflower finds the right fit for every camper, makes the experience financially possible, and sticks behind our families beyond each summer!

This week's is honoring a family's journey through Wildflower. A lot can change in four years — you grow taller, you have a new favorite color, your smile is a bit bigger. However, one constant remains: our campers know they can look forward same weeks of summer to play, explore, grow, and heal.

Healing isn't a straight line; some summers are easier than others, some feel like starting over. But Wildflower doesn't disappear when summer ends. We're there in the in-between, a steady presence families can lean on all year round. So, when June comes back around, camp isn't the only thing holding a grieving family up — it's one more familiar, welcome piece of a support that never really left.

That's the promise we make and keep: not just through the hardest season, but through all the summers after.

This week's celebrates the most popular sport in the world! Whether you call it soccer or football, occasions like the World Cup remind us of the powerful spirit of community, diversity, and outdoor adventure.

At Wildflower, our campers cherish their sports camps, where they know they can leave their worries on the sidelines and chase victory with their teammates. There, they get the opportunity to just be kids — sprinting, laughing, arguing over whether that was really a foul — a win in and of itself.

Today we celebrate the historic liberation of the last enslaved Black Americans, who on June 19, 1865, learned of their freedom — over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. That delay is part of the story. So is the endurance that carried people through it.

At Wildflower, we see that armor every day — in the parents and campers who carry grief and keep going. Today we honor endurance in its most profound form.
