We are so honored to have College Affordable featured on the Boston 25 News today!

The segment explores who we are, what we do, and how deep expertise in financial aid can fundamentally shift a family's college trajectory. Yarleny’s story is one example of what this work can make possible, and a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

But this story belongs to more than just Yarleny and College Affordable. It represents the work of our entire community. Our volunteers, donors, school and community partners, counselors, and team members all play a part in helping students like Yarleny navigate the path to college and make it more affordable.

We are incredibly proud of what this community has accomplished and amazed by the results we continue to see!

So proud of Princess and so happy we were able to be apart of her journey, especially with the help of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.

Watching her show up as a leader in every sense of the word has been so amazing.

She is now heading to UMass Amherst to study Biology.
Stories like hers remind us that when students get the right support at the right time, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.

Meet the Team Tuesday is continuing its fun shift. We are turning to the intern crew who supported College Affordable this past summer and throughout the year.

Meet Charlie! He is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison double majoring in Economics and Data Science. As part of his work with College Affordable, Charlie has been supporting the organization's data management and fundraising infrastructure. He worked with user and profile data to create a unified database tracking key engagement metrics and wrote scripts to identify College Affordable's most engaged users for outreach. Charlie has also conducted in-depth research on donation platforms and donor-advised fund programs to help College Affordable expand its fundraising reach and connect with new donors.

Big News for North Central Massachusetts Students!

The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts is investing $500,000 over five years to expand free financial aid counsel through a new partnership with nonprofit College Affordable. This initiative will bring expert guidance to every high school in the region, helping students and families navigate the financial aid process and unlock more affordable pathways to higher education. We’re the first region in the state to offer this!
