Leaving an abuser often means starting over entirely, leaving behind one's home, job, support network, and belongings, and starting over with very few resources. And since studies indicate that 99% of domestic violence cases include financial abuse, survivors may have little to no access to family funds once they leave and find themselves urgently looking for new employment.

Job searching is difficult enough -- even with access to appropriate interview clothing and hygiene products to make a strong first impression. That's why Circle of Hope partners with several domestic violence shelters and responds to their urgent requests immediately. We are committed to providing survivors and their children with the clothing, bedding, hygiene products, and other essentials they need to feel safe and comfortable on their first days in shelter -- and to begin rebuilding when they are ready.

There is an enormous overlap between domestic violence and homelessness -- up to 80% of women experiencing homelessness have also experienced DV in their lives.
