Back to school season may be here, but we’re still dreaming about the beach! 🌊❤️

This week’s Red Door Radar is taking us all the way to Panama City, Florida! 🏖️🚪

We love seeing red doors from near and far, reminding us that the Gilda’s Club community reaches beyond our walls. So whether you’re heading back to school or squeezing in one last beach day, keep an eye out for those red doors!

If you’re around the SCRI offices, you may spot some information about this new group. We’re so excited to share a NEW group made possible through our partnership with Sarah Cannon Research Institute! ❤️

This group is open to people with a cancer diagnosis and caregivers and meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, either in person at SCRI or virtually.

We’re so grateful to partner with incredible organizations throughout our community to create more opportunities for connection, support, and community. We’re especially excited about this new group and all the ways it can help our members!

Something our GCMTN community has been asking about for a while is finally live! 🎉 Our brand-new merch collection is now available to shop on our website, and we are SO excited to see you rep Gilda’s Club wherever you go.

Registration is OPEN for our September Tough Friends Art Club workshops! 🎨✨ And this month, we’re getting creative with linocuts!

New to art club? TFAC is an online space for young adults impacted by cancer to get creative, play games, listen to good music, and hang out with awesome cancer friends from across the country. 💛

September Workshop Details:
🗓️ Choose between Tues, Sept 1st OR Wed, Sept 2nd (Please only register for one!)
⏰ 4:30–6:30 pm PT / 6:30–8:30 pm CT / 7:30–9:30 pm ET

Open to young adults ages 18-45 diagnosed with cancer before age 40. Supplies are mailed to registrants in the U.S. at no cost!

This summer, our Tough Friends Art Club community came together to create, connect, and support one another 💛🎨

Across 6 workshops, 200 young adults from 37 states joined us to make art and connect. We shipped 265+ supply kits and logged over 349 program visits!

Here's a look back at what we created together:

✨July: Paint by Numbers (The Remix)

Huge thanks to everyone who spent their summer making art with us, and an extra special shoutout to OhYoureSoTough for hosting and everything she does to make this program so amazing (including choosing the best prizes to give away)!

Our new website has a refreshed design, an updated look and feel, and an easier way to explore everything Gilda’s Club has to offer—from free cancer support programs and upcoming events to resources, ways to get involved, and so much more. We absolutely LOVE how it turned out and hope you do, too! 🥰

28 years of opening our red door- and our hearts- to anyone impacted by cancer. ❤️

For nearly three decades, we’ve been a place for free support, genuine connection, laughter, healing, and hope, because no one should have to face cancer alone.

To every member, volunteer, donor, partner, staff member, and friend who has walked through our red door: thank you for being part of this incredible community. You are the reason our mission continues to grow and reach more people across Middle Tennessee.

Here’s to 28 years of hope, compassion, and community—and to all that’s still to come.
