DCI Donor Services is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team! This position is the first point of contact for taking phone calls, greeting visitors, preparing correspondence, and assisting with special projects. The incumbent must have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to represent the organization in a positive manner.

Below are some of the key accountabilities this position will hold:

Produce and distribute quality work in a variety of styles including correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms with high proficiency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation with attention to detail and quality.

Provides front desk support including answering phones in a prompt and professional manner, triages and screens telephone calls for level of urgency and route appropriately.

Maintain supply inventory by routinely checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

Opens and processes all incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Provides point of contact for Federal Express/UPS shipments, both sending and receiving, distributes mail accordingly.

Revises, finalizes, and distributes records as directed. Provides fax, photocopy, and printing services. Maintains filing, orders office supplies, and runs errands such as obtaining or delivering supplies or as needed. Maintains fax and photocopy equipment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of proven administrative experience

Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements

DCI Donor Services is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team! We are looking for candidates who:

Below are some of the key accountabilities this position will hold:

Receives, compiles, and prepares the donor record for eligibility review and signature of donor records to include but not limited to: Tissue donor charts intended for transplant by contract agency/processing partner review, Non-Surgical Whole Globes intended for research or education purposes by DCI Donor Services (DCIDS), Ocular donor charts intended for transplant for DCIDS

As needed, meets with the DCIDS Tissue Bank Medical Director(s) to review and answer questions pertaining to the information and documentation within the donor record.

Where relevant, appointed as Ocular Donor Eligibility/Medical Director Designee by SDSEB Ocular Medical Director in accordance to the EBAA Medical Standards and accomplished by demonstrating competency and knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, Standard Operating Procedures, and transplant contraindications.

Facilitates requests from hospital/medical examiner or corner’s facility (or other external entities as requested) for data and medical record documentation in accordance with regulatory and accreditation entity requirements as well as internal DCIDS Policy and procedure. Ensures verification of information prior to the release to an external entity.

Participates in required quality training and educational growth to ensure staff is competent, compliant, and trained in quality related tasks with all regulatory and accreditation entities and internal DCIDS standards.

Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

High school graduate or equivalent. Associates Degree in General Studies or related healthcare field preferred.

Two years prior medical-related job experience. Tissue or Ocular bank experience preferred.

Certified Eye Bank Technician (CEBT) or Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Working knowledge of computers and basic data entry skills.

Tennessee Donor Services is seeking a Referral Response Coordinator to join our team! This position will provide referral call coverage and on-site response to area hospitals to conduct medical evaluation on all potential organ donors and develop a plan with the healthcare team to maintain the option of donation.

Below are some of the key accountabilities this position will hold:

Provides referral call and referral response to hospitals on potential organ donors, document referral information, and collaborate with hospital staff.

Evaluates medical suitability of potential organ donors, utilizing information from medical records, history and physical examination and current health status.

Collaborates with hospital staff (bedside nurse, charge nurse, Attending Physician) to ensure that the option of donation is maintained.

In collaboration with the Administrator on Call, requests and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests needed for evaluation of suitability and clinical management of potential organ donors.

Collaborates with the Organ Recovery and Family Care Coordinators to determine a plan of action for following potential donor cases, re-referral of non-eligible donor referrals or activation of the appropriate DCIDS team members.

Performs other related duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

Certified as a paramedic, respiratory therapist, LPN, or other allied healthcare field

Must have 2+ years of either emergency or critical care experience – preferably in a hospital setting

Must understand medical terminology

Must be able to read a medical chart

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for facilitating and/or conducting internal and external audits as dictated by the Master Audit Schedule for their respective region. Will assist in the development and implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAP) resulting for an internal or external audit, to include training for required departments. Will maintain and revise the Master Audit Schedule on an annual basis. Ensures compliance to all regulatory and accreditation entities standards as well as internal DCIDS Policy, SOP, and Work Instructions.

Oversees all areas of non-conformance reporting such as complaints, deviations, root cause analysis, SCAR reporting, etc. Investigates, reviews, and will follow up on all investigations until adequate closure is met. Will analyze and review trends within each non-conformance category and report trends for continuous quality improvement efforts. Works with department managers and (Sr.) Director of Quality and Compliance to initiate quality improvement initiatives utilizing quality tools and methodology to test progress and monitor outcomes (PDSA).

Will monitor, review, and complete vendor or supplier qualifications required to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting entities. Will recommend actions for vendors or suppliers that do not maintain compliance requirements or have a high complaint and/or deviation rates.

Will assist with validation activities for new equipment, re-qualification of existing equipment, software verification, etc. to include written validation protocols, written validation reports, and re-qualification or addendum reports when required.

Maintains all existing licensure or registrations for their respective region. Assists with new applications for licensure or registration (when applicable).

Acts as a role model for the DCIDS and DCIDS Quality Departments by supporting, reinforcing, and exhibiting behaviors consistent with the DCIDS core values; selfless, hardworking, passionate, and dependable.

Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications - Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred. OPO experience in a quality system management and medical records preferred. Three years or more of auditing experience in healthcare, medical device, or manufacturing industry. Current work experience within an OPO or Tissue Bank setting preferred. ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred. CEBT, CTBS, CPTC preferred. Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Word, Excel, Power Point required.
