United Methodist Higher Education Foundation Typically, UMHEF scholarship applications are open January 1 - March 1 for the following academic year. Other criteria may apply.

We provide $2+ million in scholarships every year to Methodist students attending UM-related colleges, universities, and seminaries. // We reserve the right to delete comments that express harmful or hate speech, as well as incorrect information and spam. While awards are not guaranteed, applicants must meet the following main criteria to qualify:

- Be a member of a United Methodist Church for a

t least 1 year prior to applying.
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in one of the 100+ United Methodist-related schools of higher education listed at https://www.umhef.org/about/schools/listofschools/. In addition to our main scholarship programs, UMHEF also offers specialty awards, including for students attending UM-related , those preparing for chaplaincy in the US military, those who are dead/hard of hearing, etc. Full details can be found at https://www.umhef.org/.

🎓 Congratulations to Trinity Thompkins, Class of 2026 at University! Keep reading for some "stats" on Trinity, one of our many UMHEF scholars who graduated this spring.

✅ Degree - Bachelor of Arts
✅ Major - Early Childhood Education
✅ Campus Involvement - Served as editor for the Sigma Alpha Iota Theta Omicron Chapter, treasurer and fundraiser for NAfME-C Chapter 222, played tuba in marching/concert band, and sang in choir.
✅ What's Next? - Moving to North Dakota to teach full time.

She shared that UMHEF scholarships "helped me make my dreams to be a teacher come true." Congratulations, Trinity!
