Thanks to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (ELCA), Pastor Seales, Lisa Kafader, Rundi Ream and Thrivent Member Network - South for purchasing and packing 225 snack bags this past Sunday. This generous donation goes a long way in feeding our unhoused neighbors and youth in our THRIVE Studios program.

🏗️ A Vision Taking Shape in Nashville

After countless conversations, careful planning, and thousands of details, it’s exciting to see Inspiritus at Rosa Parks coming together!

This week, Inspiritus CEO John Moeller toured the site of our new Nashville development alongside Board Member Doug Werth, Janet Arning, Laura Eckersley, and Zach Lykins, Executive Director of Trinity Community Commons.

When complete, Inspiritus at Rosa Parks will be more than a building—it will be a place designed to strengthen community. The development will provide much-needed affordable housing for seniors, while the first floor will serve as a home for Inspiritus services and programming in Nashville.

Seeing the space take shape is an exciting reminder of what can happen when vision, partnership, and persistence come together.

Every detail brings us one step closer to opening the doors and welcoming the community into this new space.

We’re grateful to everyone who has helped bring this vision to life, and we can’t wait to share more as construction continues!

Celebrating a Lifetime of Service ❤️

Yesterday, Inspiritus was honored to celebrate the Rev. Dr. P. Morgan Gordy, recognizing her with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her dedicated work in disaster relief ministries and her many years of support for Inspiritus.

Throughout the years, Morgan’s commitment to serving communities impacted by disaster has reflected a spirit of compassion, resilience, and service. Her longstanding support of Inspiritus has also helped strengthen our mission and the work we carry forward today.

Our CEO John Moeller had the privilege of presenting Morgan with the award during a special lunch with Morgan and her husband, the Rev. H. Julian Gordy, Bishop Emeritus, of the Southeastern Synod ELCA.

Though Morgan and Julian are now both retired, their connection to Inspiritus remains strong. We are deeply grateful for the support, guidance, and friendship they have shared with our organization throughout the years.

Please join us in congratulating Morgan on this well-deserved recognition and celebrating a lifetime dedicated to serving others! 👏❤️

We have been so blessed to have 13 Serve Boldly groups volunteer this summer. Since June, 114 Lutheran youth and counselors from all over the country have faithfully served our community by packing snack kits, helping pantry participants shop, stock shelves and more. That is more than 156 hours dedicated to Inspiritus! Thank You All!

It’s hard to say goodbye to the Rev. Dr. Ann Bassett who has invested time and treasure into all of us at Inspititus’ Building Healthy Families program. From serving on the board of LST, to teaching digital literacy, or praying for each woman, to restoring women’s voting rights - Rev. Ann has lived the gospel with us and for us. We are all forever changed because of the lady in pink!

Great things happen when communities come together! ☕💚

We’re excited to announce that Inspiritus’ Middle Tennessee program has been selected to receive a $1,000 Neighborhood Grant from The Starbucks Foundation!

This recognition began with a local Starbucks partner in Murfreesboro who learned about our work and nominated Inspiritus because they believed in the impact we’re making in our community.

We’re incredibly grateful to Starbucks partners and The Starbucks Foundation for investing in organizations that strengthen neighborhoods and create lasting change.

Thank you for believing in our mission!
