Our fellow nurse and cherished NBNA Nashville member, Sharon Pendleton, often spoke about her desire to become a lifetime member of the National Black Nurse Practitioner Association. Sadly, Sharon passed away on April 22, 2025, before she was able to see that dream fulfilled.

But love, friendship, and sisterhood made sure her wish did not go unfinished. ❤️

Sharon’s longtime “framily,” Lisa H. and Samantha A., honored her legacy by making her dream of Lifetime Membership a reality.

During tonight’s NBNA Nashville Chapter meeting, Sharon’s Certificate of Lifetime Membership was formally presented to the chapter—a beautiful and emotional reminder that her commitment to nursing, NBNA, and the relationships she built continues to live on.

Although Sharon is no longer physically with us, her legacy now has a permanent place in NBNA.

🕊️ In loving memory of Sharon Pendleton
Lifetime Member, National Black Nurses Association
