Patience is simple to define, it's the opposite of impatience. It's better to be patient than demanding, argumentative or controlling. If you don't have patience, then you are out of control. So, how do you get patience? You cooperate with God. He has a part and you have a part. There are lots of examples of waiting patiently in the Bible, but basically, you need to wait expectantly, quietly, and confidently. Pastor Gene share a great message on patience. There are many reasons to attend church, including the fact that 1/3 of the world claims to Christian. Other reasons include: The church has the largest participation; the widest distribution; the longest continuation; the fastest expansion; the highest motivation; the strongest authorization; the simplest administration; and the greatest conclusion (read the last chapter of the Bible). There are 9 Fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22. One of those listed is gentleness. We don't talk a lot about gentleness, because we don't understand it. Gentleness is not weakness, it is strength under control. Gentleness is so important, Jesus talked about it in Matthes 5, the Sermon on the Mount. Gentlemen are gentle men.
