We were delighted to welcome the Youth Leadership Collier participants to Gulfshore Playhouse today and share how the arts can inspire creativity, collaboration, communication, and leadership. Nancy Stetson of Florida Theater on Stage praises the Gulfshore Playhouse production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical as “a celebration of King’s music,” featuring iconic songs Carole King wrote not only for herself, but for legendary artists including The Shirelles and The Drifters.

The review calls Julia Bain “deservedly the star of the show,” praising her as “vulnerable and authentic,” while noting that Director Matt Lenz “keeps the action moving, there’s never a lull.”
