City of Naples Residents and Business Owners,
We need your support at the Monday, June 15 City Council meeting.
In 2024, the City had the opportunity to increase the millage rate to 1.2700. Instead, the final adopted rate was set at 1.2300.
We are asking Council to move forward with the previously approved maximum rate of 1.2700 to help protect the level of service our community expects and deserves.
The prior increase did not go entirely to first responders. City millage revenue supports several core services, including police, fire, parks, recreation, and other City operations. Any future increase would also be shared across those important service areas.
Even so, public safety remains one of the clearest responsibilities of local government. This increase would help provide the funding needed to add more police officers, expand services, improve response times, and increase law enforcement visibility throughout the City.
More officers means:
• Better coverage across neighborhoods and business districts
• Stronger traffic enforcement
• Faster response to calls
• More proactive patrols
• Greater officer presence in parks, beaches, schools, and special events
• Better service for residents, visitors, and business owners
Naples remains one of the safest and most desirable cities in Florida because residents, businesses, and City leaders have invested in strong public services.
Please attend the Monday, June 15 City Council meeting and voice your support for moving the millage rate to 1.2700.
