Introducing our 2026 scholarship recipients! This year, we have the privilege of gifting scholarships to five students who will carry Vaughn and Jeff’s legacies with them throughout their college careers, and further into their futures in media. Take a moment to read about our phenomenal scholars. ⬇️

🗞️ Stella Palm is from Mount Prospect, IL, and a graduate of Prospect High School. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the fall of 2026, and planning to double major in journalism and political science!

🎥 Kaitlin Wirtz is from Des Plaines, IL, and a graduate of Elk Grove High School. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the fall of 2026, and planning to major in radio, tv, and film and minor in advertising, multimedia journalism, and publicity, alongside playing for their softball team!

📰 Tessa Trylovich is from Mount Prospect, IL, and a graduate of Prospect High School. She will be attending the University of Missouri in the fall of 2026 and majoring in journalism!

🗞️ Karim Melek is from Palatine, IL, and a graduate of Palatine High School. He will be attending Northwestern University in the fall of 2026 and majoring in journalism!

🏈 Lucciana Pazdan is from Barrington, IL, and a graduate of Barrington High School. She will be attending the University of Alabama in the fall of 2026 and majoring in news and sports media!
