The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has proposed a new rule that would allow USPS to control who can receive and vote by mail ballot. If implemented, eligible American citizens will be blocked from participating in our elections. USPS could refuse to mail ballots from states that do not share voter lists.
Voters must speak out between now and July 2nd. The USPS needs to hear from as many organizations and individuals as possible that they oppose these changes.

Stumped about what to say? Here are two short, simple comments for everyday people to get started:
Option 1: I oppose the changes USPS is considering to how we vote by mail. Voting is a fundamental right and freedom for all eligible voters. Many of us choose to vote by mail, either because it is the most convenient or accessible option or, for some Americans, it is the only option. In 2024, nearly one-third of Americans–tens of millions of voters–voted by mail. These proposed changes would make it harder or impossible for many of us. The USPS must abandon these changes under consideration and instead focus on its core mission of providing reliable, affordable, universal mail service – especially for all voting and election-related mail.
Option 2: I oppose the changes USPS is considering to how we vote by mail. Voting is a fundamental right and freedom for all eligible voters. The proposed Rule is yet another effort by those who want to seize more power and interfere in our free and democratic elections to keep eligible Americans from voting.
