Twenty-three working nursing aides have graduated from a program that gave them the opportunity to pursue their RN credentials tuition-free. We’re proud that a $180,000 CCF grant and an additional $26,575 from CCF donors John Svirsky and Jeanne Livingston made that possible.

Congratulations to the first graduating class! Their hard work opens new doors for them and strengthens the care available in our community.

Thank you to Hello Naples for sharing our story!

We loved welcoming Collier County nonprofit leaders to the Wyss Center for a first look at our new home.

Guests toured the meeting rooms and shared spaces available for nonprofit use, connected with CCF staff and learned how to find the right space for their next gathering. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. We look forward to seeing the conversations and connections that take shape here.

Strong nonprofit organizations begin with strong leaders.

We’re proud to celebrate the completion of our six-month Nonprofit Leadership Academy, which brought together 10 executive directors and CEOs from Collier County nonprofits for an intensive leadership development experience.

A collaboration of the Collier Community Foundation, Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation and Naples Children Foundation, the Academy covered strategic planning, fundraising, program evaluation, board governance, organizational culture and more. Just as importantly, it gave participants the opportunity to learn from one another, share challenges and build relationships across our nonprofit community.

Congratulations to the leaders representing United Arts Collier St. Matthew's House, Inc. Project Build Literacy Collier Naples Therapeutic Riding Center Fun Time Early Childhood Academy, Inc. Collier Resource Center The Housing Alliance, Inc. Champions For Learning and Audubon's Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary .

By investing in nonprofit leadership, we’re helping strengthen the organizations that serve our community every day. Congratulations to all of our graduates!

Preserving our history helps ensure the stories that shaped Collier County are remembered for generations to come.

The Collier Community Foundation is proud to provide a $10,000 grant to the Marco Island Historical Society to conserve two historic iron gears from Marco Island’s original ferry. Once restored, these remarkable artifacts will become part of a permanent exhibit in the Pioneer Era gallery at the Marco Island Historical Museum.

The ferry connected Marco Island to the mainland from 1912 to 1938, transporting people, vehicles and essential shipments. These historic photographs offer a glimpse into the ferry and the journey travelers made to reach it nearly a century ago.

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, we pause to honor the lives lost, the families forever changed and the survivors who carry the memories of that day.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the first responders, military members and everyday citizens whose courage and selflessness reflected the very best of our nation—then and in the years since.

Today, we remember, honor and stand together.

Another great example of what collaboration can accomplish for our community—and our environment.

The Collier Community Foundation is proud to partner with CCA Florida and Collier County on the new CCA Taylor-Martin Reef. Phase 1 is now complete, helping expand critical artificial reef habitat, support marine life and strengthen recreational fishing opportunities right here in Southwest Florida.

We’re excited to see this investment in our coastal environment take shape—and the impact it will have for years to come.

Rising food costs are putting increasing pressure on seniors in Collier County, a challenge highlighted in today’s Naples Daily News article.

It’s also a powerful reminder of why investing in local solutions matters. Last year, Meals of Hope received a $100,000 surprise grant at the Collier Community Foundation’s Celebration of Philanthropy to launch its mobile Your Neighborhood Pantry, bringing fresh groceries directly to communities where access can be a barrier.

That investment is already at work in our community—and Meals of Hope is just one of last year’s Celebration of Philanthropy grantees putting their grants into action.

Watch for our Community Report coming in November, where we’ll share more about the progress these organizations are making and the impact these investments are having throughout Collier County.

Another CCF investment is helping move a major regional project forward.

This spring, the Collier Community Foundation invested $20,000 in Trust for Public Land to help advance the Bonita–Estero Rail Trail (BERT), supporting the acquisition, due diligence and coordination needed to secure the rail corridor for public use.

Now, voters in Bonita Springs and Estero have approved funding to help move the project forward, building on Collier County’s commitment to its portion of the trail.

Once complete, BERT will transform 11.4 miles of unused rail corridor into a safe trail for walking and biking and connect North Naples to the larger Florida Gulf Coast Trail stretching from Naples to the Tampa Bay area.

It’s a great example of how philanthropy can provide early support that helps bring partners together, leverage significant public investment and turn a regional vision into reality.
