Nantucket Community Sailing (NCS) is a non-profit, educational organization providing affordable sailing opportunities to our local Nantucket Community and beyond since 1994. Nantucket Community Sailing (NCS) is a non-profit, educational organization providing affordable recreational access to sailing & various water sports to the public. We continue to improve community access to our waters and strive to strengthen the island's historical maritime traditions by:

• Hosting the Opera House Cup Regatta , a "classic" wooden sailboat race.
• Providing free access to equipment and instruction to many island community outreach programs.
• Sponsoring the Nantucket High School Varsity and Club Sailing Teams.
• Offering scholarships to year-round island youth.
• Running informal sailboat races for all levels.
• Teaching adaptive windsurfing and rowing clinics for disabled athletes. Nantucket Community Sailing believes the skills learned while sailing help to foster confidence, independence, teamwork and sportsmanship within each of our sailors. We take pride in providing the unique opportunity to interact with others who are on Nantucket for the summer, while learning how to sail on Nantucket’s waters.

RSVP link in bio! Join us for cocktails and conversation as we celebrate artist Kos Evans, whose sailing-inspired work first connected with the Nantucket community during Race Week this past August.

Kos generously donated a portion of her Rock & Royals Nantucket exhibition sales to NCS and is continuing that commitment through her New York City exhibition.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of art, community, and connection hosted by Nantucket Community Sailing.

Today marks the last week of programming for Summer 2026. We can’t believe how quickly it’s blown by! We’ve had such a great summer with some not so great weather days speckled in. Our instructors made the most of it and have powered through! Our sailors have grown each day, and we can’t wait to see everyone on the water again next season. Week 8, here we come!
