It has been quite the week! We've be running in all directions at all hours but it was well worth it! First, on Tuesday, we saw on our trail cam that a mom cat and her 3 kittens had shown at a feeder. We went right out and set traps and were very fortunate to get all of them in two nights! On Wednesday there was a kitten sighting in an area where kittens were seen a month ago. We've had equipment out there and have been trying to locate and help them ever since. We set up where the new sighting was and were so happy when we caught 2 little male kittens! Then in the early morning hours we caught a little girl kitten at a different location! Of course we're continuing to follow up at these spots and multiple other ones across the island. A big thank you to all who reached out with sightings❣️ And great job volunteers! 😻

Little Squiddly was spotted lying in a dirt road but when approached he'd scurry off into the brush. Thanks to everyone who reached out with sightings, and offered help, we were able to get him! The poor little guy was absolutely covered in ticks, dehydrated, skinny and had a high fever. He has anaplasma, a tick-borne disease, but he has been a great patient. Within a few days of starting his meds and getting fluids, good food and lots of TLC he was already doing so much better! He's now playing and purring up a storm.😻A big thank you to all who helped us to come to Squiddly's rescue❣️

About 3 weeks ago some compassionate people reached out when they saw this little guy scurry into the brush near a main road. We got right out and set up equipment. For weeks we crawled in and out of the brush throwing smelly food around, setting traps, and monitoring cameras but there was no sign of him. We were so happy when he finally showed and we were able to trap him last night! Due to his adorable big ears, he's been named Radar❣️ 😻

We are very happy to relay that we got this adorable crew and their mom! 😻
These cuties seemed to think it was comical to run by the traps taking selfies and in and out of the front of the trap. We were so happy when we finally caught one and after some time (and more shenanigans😂) we got the rest. It took another night to get mom, but we were SO relieved when we finally did!
A big thank you to Amy for reaching out when this cutie group was seen❣️

We monitor our feeding stations with trail cameras to be sure that there are no new cats in need of spay/neuter or cats in need of medical care. It's always a treat when we also catch shots like these!

It's kitten season and thank you Mary for reaching out when these cuties were spotted! ❤
A volunteer when right out to set up equipment. While doing so she played meow sounds and two of the kittens popped out from the brush. She then played the meow sounds behind the traps and they both hopped into one trap together! 😻😻 Then the third little one peaked out but sat hunkered down. Fortunately, she was able to hand catch her! 😺😃
Of course it's very important that we also get the mom and dad cat spayed and neutered so traps are still set!
If you are seeing kittens please reach out to us asap at 508-901-3882. Thank you!

Last week, we had gotten calls of kitten sightings from 4 different people at 4 different spots but all in the same general area. We followed up and set up equipment at each spot. It was hard to know if some people were seeing the same kitten. We were elated to get Frosty and the next morning we caught Olaf
about 1/2 mile away. Although he is bigger, he may be Frosty's sibling. Olaf too has some frostbite and was very hungry!
It's so heart warming to see Olaf and Frosty all cozy and warm and enjoying their food! 😻😻
A big thank you to everyone who has reached out with sightings! ❤

It has been quite the challenge with it being so cold and with all the snow but our volunteers have been out in the weather doing all they can to help kitties in need! Frosty is one of the kittens we were so happy to be able to get in the last few days!

A very kind person, Mario, spotted Frosty shivering and meowing on the side of the road. Mario stopped and quickly reached out for help. Frosty then started traveling up the road and going in and out of the brush. Mario stayed and followed him until we arrived. When we got there Mario knew right where he was which was a huge help! Poor Frosty was hunched in the snow and would meow but he wouldn't let us get close. We decided to quickly cut into the brush and put a trap down. Frosty came to the trap but sat hunched on the top for quite awhile. We waited nearby and we were so relieved when he finally went in!

Frosty is so fortunate, we're not sure he would've made it much longer out there. He has some frostbite on his ears, is a bit raspy and is thin. Thankfully he is eating like a champ and has good energy. And he loves getting attention! 😻 He sends a big thank you to his guardian angel Mario and to the volunteers that came to his rescue!❤
