After school program for high school students

Good afternoon! We hope that everyone has enjoyed a lovely weekend, and congratulations to all of the Nantucket High School graduates. As we near the end of the school year, Our House is bustling with excitement and energy. This week, we will only be serving dinner on Monday and Wednesday since we will be closed on Friday, June 19th, in honor of Juneteenth. We look forward to seeing you all around the table for some of our last meals of the school year.

‼UPDATE‼ No dinner on Friday due to the Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony.

Good afternoon, everyone! It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is just around the corner. Between preparing for finals, after-school commitments, and celebrations, we understand that high school students are especially busy this time of year. With that being said, please join us here at Our House when your schedule allows, whether that is for a few minutes to say hi or dinner on Monday and Wednesday. Take a look at our dinner menu to have an idea of what to expect this week, as we look forward to welcoming you around the table. ***Please note that on Friday, June 12, 2026, we will not be serving dinner so that everyone can attend the graduation ceremony.***

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of welcoming Rep. Thomas Moakley and Sen. Julian Cyr to Our House, where they talked a bit about their roles at the Massachusetts State House. Students were engaged and asked thoughtful questions during their visit. We hope this is just the beginning of an open dialogue that inspires youth to get involved in their community and use their voice to advocate for the issues that matter to them.

Good morning, students! We hope that you have all enjoyed a restful weekend, and we look forward to welcoming you back today, June 1, for our regular hours. As we near the end of the school year, lots is going on here at Our House. We are excited that on Friday, June 5, we will continue our tradition of offering our students a fancy dinner party, with an incredible menu, thoughtfully prepared by Mr. Proch. If you would like to join our fancy dinner party, please RSVP by contacting Pauline or speaking to her in person so that we can adequately prepare. We look forward to seeing you!

Good afternoon, students! We hope that you are enjoying a fun and safe holiday weekend. We look forward to opening tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th, for our regular hours. Please take a look at this week's dinner menu as you make your after-school plans, and remember that we will be serving dinner two nights this week instead of our regular three due to the long weekend. We hope that you all have enjoyed a safe and relaxing long weekend, and we look forward to welcoming back students on Tuesday, May 26th, for our regular hours. In case you would like a reminder, see our weekly hours below:

Mondays: 2:30-7:30, serving snacks after school and dinner at 6:00
Tuesdays: 2:30-5:30, serving snacks after school
Wednesdays: 2:30-7:30, serving snacks after school and dinner at 6:00
Thursdays: 2:30-5:30, serving snacks after school
Fridays: 2:30-7:30, serving snacks after school and dinner at 6:00

As many of our community members know, at least once a month, Nantucket Public Schools' faculty take part in Professional Development workshops, which means an early release for students. In order to accommodate the schedule change, Our House opens our doors early, offering our programs from 12:00-5:30. Most half days for students take place on Wednesdays, so we provide a special lunch instead of our regular Wednesday night dinner. With such a huge increase in attendance this year, we are incredibly grateful to the several island restaurants and catering companies that donated delicious lunches for us this year. Thank you to Foggy's Puck Cafe, Sophie T's Pizza, Tom Proch with NHS Culinary, Thai House Nantucket, 8 Arms Chef Services, Stubbys, and Fusaro's. The impact of their generosity will continue to be celebrated and appreciated. Thank you, from Our House!

Good afternoon! We hope that everyone is enjoying a restful weekend. Students, we are happy to share our menu for this coming week, as Mr. Proch will be preparing some lovely meals for us. Join us on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6:00 PM for a delicious dinner surrounded by peers and mentors.

Are you a student who is new to Our House? It is not too late in the school year to sign up. Stop by after school, catch a ride from the Our House van at 2:45 in front of NHS, or visit our website to learn more. We always love to see new faces around the house.

Good evening, students! Tomorrow, May 6, NPS has a half-day scheduled for Professional Development. Students will have an early release, and Our House will be opening our doors from 12:00-5:30, serving a special lunch per tradition. We are excited for our eighth half-day of the school year. The warmer weather opens up even more possibilities at Our House for those who enjoy spending time outdoors, and although many students brave the cold in the winter months to play a game of basketball or tennis, we are excited that the ground has thawed and flowers are blooming. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
