Dr. Rein is the Chief Science Officer of the Mind Science Foundation, an Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Buffalo. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers on social behavior and is the author of Why Brains Need Friends: The Neuroscience of Social Connection.
Beyond academia, Ben has become one of today’s most trusted science communicators, sharing educational content with an audience of more than one million followers. His work has been featured on Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, and StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson, and he has received awards for science communication from the Society for Neuroscience and the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine.
