From the hills of North Central West Virginia, we stand with Girls on the Run International in commemorating Juneteenth. Today is a reminder of the ongoing pursuit of freedom, equity, and belonging. At GOTR NCWV, we believe every girl deserves the confidence, connection, and support to thrive, and we are proud to help build a stronger future for all girls in our communities.

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth — a day to honor freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice for Black communities across the country.

At Girls on the Run, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity and support to reach her full potential. We’re dedicated to building spaces where joy, connection, and community can grow for girls from all backgrounds. The very first Girls on the Run Camp in Lewis County kicks off today, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🎉👟

This week, a wonderful group of girls will spend their days building confidence, making new friends, discovering their strengths, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Through fun activities, teamwork, and plenty of laughter, they’ll learn that they are capable of amazing things.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this camp possible and can’t wait to watch these girls shine all week long! ✨

🌟 Girls On The Run Summer Camp 🌟

Upward FSC will be hosting a Girls On The Run Summer Camp for girls entering 3rd through 5th grade! 🏃‍♀️💕

📆 June 22–26
⏰ 9am–1pm each day
📍 Veterans Memorial Park, Harrison County

The cost of camp is $100. Participants will receive a t-shirt and refreshments each day! (Financial assistance is available.)

Parents are not required to stay during camp. Transportation is not provided. 🚘

Exciting News for our Suncrest Elementary students & families!

Thanks to our partnership with Monongalia County Schools, Camp GOTR is available at no cost for students at Suncrest Elementary via the Summer Avalanche Program!

We are offering TWO of our Camp GOTR Programs - Girls Have Heart & Girls have Power! Girls can sign up for one or both!
Girls Have Heart builds confidence, kindness, and emotional strength through engaging lessons that help girls understand themselves, connect with others, and lead with compassion.
Girls Have Power encourages girls to recognize their inner strength, make intentional choices, and discover how they can create positive change in their communities.
Camp GOTR combines movement, creativity, and meaningful activities to inspire every girl to be joyful, healthy, and confident while forming lasting friendships.
