Monrivergames We are a nonprofit 501 (c) (3), community game design and development studio. We hold session congruent to the academic calendar: Spring, Summer, and Fall.

MonRiverGames is a game design, development, and publishing non profit community studio run by faculty, alumni, students, and friends of West Virginia University. We are in close partnership with the Game Design and Interactive Media program at West Virginia University. The views expressed in this work are not representative of WVU, or the College of Creative Arts and Media. They are hybrid, in person, and remote. Membership is free and open to students, as well as community members passionate about game development. Go to our website or discord for more information on joining or following our studio.

Wednesday saw our second play test of the semester, and a surprise visit from a friendly cow!

The next chance to play our latest updates will be Saturday, September 19th during Moonlight Market. Stop by Retro Reload this Saturday from 5-9 to play the newest builds of our games. Or play one of Retro Reload's retro consoles to take advantage of their student discount night.

Hello World: We've released Game Design at WVU Arcade on Early Access on Steam for FREE! It was made by over 30 WVU students and MRG community members. We'd like to invite you to check it out and give us feedback over the summer so we can make it better next school year. Thanks!

A 3d arcade game in which you fix and play the machines in your store to get ready for opening day. All games are created by students and alumni from Game Design and Interactive Media at West Virginia University.

Next Pittsburgh Playtest is Sunday May 17th! This month we'll be hosted at Carnegie Mellon University! Come play game prototypes by local designers.

We have room for 3 more designers and we always welcome more playtesters. Bring a friend and come play!
