Morgantown Firefighter Community Outreach When you call, we care. We respond no matter what to protect and serve our community. A Christmas Party for the Monongalia Head Start students is held yearly.

We invite you to support the Morgantown Firefighter Community Outreach Initiatives. We rely solely on the dollars raised locally to directly benefit worthwhile programs for the citizens right here in your community. 100% of fundraising dollars are put back into your community. Brand-new, winter coats for disadvantaged children are purchased and distributed through the Fi

refighters for Operation Warm program. Fire Prevention, Safety Instructional Courses and Seminars are provided to the community in Monongalia County. Continuing education is provided to our well-trained staff to invest in solutions and discoveries to save lives. The Vanden King Memorial Scholarship is fully funded and awarded yearly to a deserving Morgantown High School Senior. Please send donations to:

Give the Gift of Life-
🩸Blood: The most common type of donation, during which approximately a pint of 'whole blood' is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour.

🩸🩸Power Red: A Power Red donation collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These donors must meet specific eligibility requirements and have type A Neg, B Neg, or O blood.

City of Morgantown - City Hall Launches “Reuse, Repurpose, and Relove” Winter Coat Drive from Jan. 5 through Feb. 5 to help local residents stay warm this winter.

🧥 🧤Contributions will support Catholic Charities West Virginia, Lauren's Wish, and the Morgantown Community Kitchen, Inc.

Community members are encouraged to donate new or gently used winter coats that are clean and in good condition to help ensure warmth and dignity for those in need. Larger sizes, children’s sizes, hats, and gloves are especially needed.

Collection bins will be located at:
Morgantown City Hall: Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Downtown Public Safety Building: Lobby hours, Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.

Morgantown History Museum: Wednesday–Friday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday–Sunday, noon–6 p.m.

Wiles Hill Community Center: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

ALL THREE MORGANTOWN FIRE STATIONS: Open 24/7 (staff may be away responding to calls)

In addition, Morgantown City Ambassadors will collect donations from downtown businesses and community members while on patrol, typically Wednesday through Sunday, 9 a.m.–8 p.m.

City staff will organize all donations with the assistance of the Building Maintenance Division. Items will be sorted on site before distributing them to local social service agencies, ensuring every item is ready for use. https://cvcpl.us/5aYeN53
