Oh Scrappy-Doo, the face and 4 paws behind the Bark in the Park event with the West Virginia Black Bears.

Unfortunately we recently learned that Scrappy crossed the rainbow bridge, after battling some health issues. Scrappy is a well know pup all around Morgantown, and many of you have met him at Pampered 4 Paws. Or at one of many events in town. We wanted to take a moment to send all of our condolences to his family, and all of those who loved him.

Scrappy was quite a character, and made sure that his presence was known, despite his small size. He was an official greeter at his parents’s daycare/boarding facility, and was often the first friend to so many pups. Scrappy was just a little guy, who had been dropped off at Pampered 4 Paws 15 years ago. And what no one knew then was that the rest of his life would be the grandest adventure for not only him, but for all of those apart of his life. He was a very happy - go - lucky dude. His personality and fun loving demeanor inspired his parents to give back to the community, and help support local rescue efforts that would give other pups a chance at the best life possible. Just like the chance Scrappy was given.

You could always find scrappy on the pitchers mound for the first pitch, alongside his mom, to kick things off for a fun night at the ballpark. He along with so many families and their pups, celebrated the game, and supported so many other pups with their journey to finding a forever home.

We want pay tribute to Scrappy and his legacy. He was a very special guy, and was loved by so many among our community. This year as we prepare for Bark in the Park, and Camping for Canines, we will miss seeing this guy do his thing. But we are so grateful for the time he had, and the lessons he taught.

In honor of Scrappy’s big life, his mom has asked that anyone who may want to honor his legacy or show support in a way that can impact other dogs much like him, that you support our cause at this event. Feel free to make a tag, or share a memory of one of our favorite little dudes!

Look who's back 👀

Bunny has made his way back to us due to no fault of his own. A pup in the home decided that he no longer appreciated Bunny's antics. So he is back with us and having the time of his life playing with his pals, like he never left!

Bunny is a 6-7 month old little guy, who has a booming personality, and zero fear. He loves everyone and everything. He is a very energetic little guy, and has the best zoomies! He is curious, adventurous, and down right nosy. Bunny will need a home with a companion. We think he may implode if he has to be alone, and the humans may implode too!

Bunny is neutered, up to date on core vaccinations, has been dewormed, microchipped, given monthly flea and tick prevention, and is combo negative.

Each adoption fee is $115 but any potential adopter still needs an approved adoption application.

Introducing Lady Bug 🐞

Lady Bug is a 2-3 year old lady. She loves her people, and playing with toys. You can find her in comfy napping spots, or soaking up the sun on the catio. Lady Bug doesn't mind most cats, but she can be bossy with the younger kitties. She will need a home that allows her the opportunity to be the boss. This sassy gal is hoping to meet her new folks soon!

She is spayed, up to date on core vaccinations, has been dewormed, microchipped, given monthly flea and tick prevention, and is combo negative.

Introducing Bosley 🖤

Bosley is a 2-3 year old big guy, who has the personality of a grandpa. Bosley loves naps, sunshine, and yelling at this kittens. If we translated his meows it would probably sound something like, "Pipe it down, I'm trying to sleep!. This grumpy man is a total "get off my lawn!" kind of cat, and we love him for it! Bosley is content with other calm cats, and doesn't mind people who are equally as chill. He is a chatty man, so be prepared for lots of conversations.

Bosley loves a good window, catio, or bed. As long as he has a place to take his naps comfortably, he shouldn't have much to complain about!

Introducing Moon Moon 🌛

Moon Moon is a 1-2 year old handsome young man. This sweet guy is quiet, shy, and observant. Once he is comfortable he is a social butterfly, but he needs to trust you first. He loves toys, spending time on the catio, and hanging out with his kitty pals. Moon Moon loves his kitty tee-pee beds, and a good sun puddle. This guy is going to make a great companion.
