Yesterday’s Mental Health forum was an incredible success — and our hearts are so full of gratitude. 💙

Thank you to every person who showed up, invested their time, listened, learned, shared conversations, and leaned into this work with us. The energy in the room was powerful, hopeful, and deeply impactful.

The most meaningful part of the day was hearing directly from our youth. Thank you to our amazing Youth Ambassadors for courageously sharing your voices, experiences, ideas, and perspectives with us. Your honesty challenges us to be better, stronger, and more intentional as adults so we can truly show up for young people in ways that matter.

A huge thank you to Cheryl Fuller for leading such an impactful and engaging session, and to Carmen Bucci for joining us during Day 13 of his 30 Cities in 30 Days tour to pour into our community and our youth.

We are incredibly grateful to our presenting sponsor, Iredell Health System for believing in this work and helping make this event possible. Thank you as well to our partners and collaborators including OptiMed Hospitalists,Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital, Healthy Blue NC, Children's Hope Alliance, Partners Health Management, United Way of Iredell County, and Iredell-Statesville Schools for your continued commitment to youth mental health and su***de prevention in our community.

This was more than just an event — it was a reminder of what is possible when schools, healthcare systems, nonprofits, families, youth, and community leaders come together with a shared mission: making sure our young people feel seen, heard, supported, and connected.

We are leaving inspired, energized, and more committed than ever to continuing this work together. đź’™

🎙️ We’re really excited for this conversation!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚, and here in Iredell County, we’re focused on turning awareness into action—especially when it comes to supporting our youth.

In this upcoming episode of Coffee & Conversation, we’re joined by Ivy Deleon of Mind Fit Behavioral Health and Mark Vaughn with Iredell-Statesville Schools for an honest, real-time discussion about what young people are experiencing today—and how adults can better support them, not just in crisis, but every day.

This conversation also connects to a powerful community event co-designed with youth themselves 👥, with a goal of helping parents, educators, and community members feel more confident showing up for the next generation.

💬 What are we getting right? Where are we missing the mark? And what can we all do—starting now—to make a difference?
