Today, we’re giving a HUGE shoutout to Chef & Chauffeur for once again providing dinner for our foster, adoptive, and kinship families at this week’s Support Group! 🥘💛

Support groups are about so much more than gathering together. They’re about connection, community, and making sure the families who pour so much into others have a little support poured back into them. Thanks to Chef & Chauffeur, our families could enjoy a delicious meal while connecting with others who understand their journey.

🎓 The Camden Peifer Memorial Scholarship is back for its second year! 🎓

We are deeply honored to once again offer the Camden Peifer Memorial Scholarship, created in loving memory of one of our own. 💙

Camden was more than just an apprentice to our co-founder, Jeremy Breger… he was family. From the moment they met, Cam and Jeremy connected instantly, discovering a shared passion for adoption and family.

Cam brought an unmatched dedication to everything he did, completing every task with excellence, humility, and heart. His kindness, work ethic, and genuine spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Although we lost Cam far too soon, we are committed to keeping his light shining. 💔🌟

Now, in its second year, this scholarship will continue to honor Cam’s legacy by supporting individuals who embody the same passion, drive, determination, and heart that he carried with him every day.

🌟 Shoutout Saturday! 🌟

Today, we want to give a HUGE shoutout to Savanna for all of her hard work putting together today’s Pies in the Park! 🥧🌳

Savanna, we appreciate your dedication, your creativity, and your incredible attention to detail. From the adorable decorations to all of the little touches that made today feel so welcoming, you put so much heart into creating a space where our foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship families could come together and simply enjoy being in community. 💛

And a BIG thank you to everyone who came out and joined us, even with the rainy weather! ☔️ We may not have gotten the sunshine we hoped for, but the kids certainly didn’t let a little rain stop them. They played, laughed, got wet, and made the absolute best of it! 🌧️

Honestly, we could all take a little note from them. Sometimes joy isn’t found in perfect weather or perfect circumstances. Sometimes it’s found in muddy shoes, puddles, laughter, good company, and choosing to make the most of what we’ve been given.

Today, the kids reminded us to find joy in the small things. 💛

Thank you, Savanna, for helping create a space where those moments can happen. And thank you to every family who showed up and helped make today special!

Thankful Thursday ❤️

Today, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude!

A HUGE thank you to Lake Norman Woman for choosing FLAR as the recipient of the funds raised through the LKN Women of the Year Gala! What an incredible honor it was to be part of such a beautiful evening celebrating so many amazing women who are making a difference in our community. ✨

Our FLAR team had an absolutely amazing time at this incredible event. We were surrounded by inspiring women, meaningful stories, and a community that continues to show up for one another in such powerful ways.

To be chosen as the recipient of this year’s funds is an absolute honor, and we are so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to turn this generosity into support for children and families affected by foster care.

🍎🥧MISSION MONDAY: PIES IN THE PARK! 🥧🍎

Our mission is all about raising awareness, providing support, and meeting the needs of children and families affected by foster care. And sometimes, that support looks as simple as gathering together, sharing a meal, and reminding one another that we don’t have to walk this journey alone. 💕

That’s exactly what Pies in the Park is all about! 🥧

Join us for a relaxed family meet-up for foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship families to gather, connect, and simply enjoy time together in a welcoming community setting.

Come enjoy some delicious pies, fellowship, and time with other families who understand the joys, challenges, and uniqueness of the foster and adoption journey. ❤️

No pressure. No agenda. Just good food, good people, and a community that gets it. 🥰

☀️ DAY THREE: FYS MOMS BEACH RETREAT☀️

Our final day together was the perfect ending to such a meaningful weekend. 💕

We started the morning with breakfast at the house, while many of our moms were up early to walk along the beach and watch the sunrise. Others gathered around the table with coffee, sharing stories, laughing, and simply enjoying being together. ☕️🌅

Then we packed up and headed to the Oak Island Lighthouse! 🏖️ Some of our moms took the guided tour and climbed all the way to the top for breathtaking 360° views, while others enjoyed a slower morning walking along the beach and searching for shells. 🐚

Before everyone headed home, we gathered together for one final meal at the house. One last opportunity to sit around the table, soak in the laughter, share a few more stories, and savor this beautiful community we have created. ❤️

As these nine incredible women headed home, we hope they left feeling refreshed, renewed, encouraged, and deeply connected.

We are so incredibly thankful for this beautiful group of women and for the opportunity to create a space where foster and adoptive moms can simply be. A space to rest. A space to laugh. A space to be understood. A space where no one has to walk this journey alone.

This weekend may be over, but the connection we built will continue long after the sand is gone and everyone is back home. 🌊💗

🌊🩷 FYS Beach Retreat | Day 2 🩷🌊

Day two of our Foster Your Soul Foster & Adoptive Mom Beach Retreat was filled with the kind of moments that remind us why this time together matters so much. 🥹

We started the morning with a light breakfast at the house, then strolled to Ruby’s Coffee Shop before walking the pier. There was coffee, conversation, laughter, and plenty of time to simply slow down and enjoy each other’s company. ☕️🌊

From there, we gathered on the beach for guided journaling and meaningful group discussion. There is something incredibly special about sitting beside women who understand this journey and creating space to reflect, share, and simply be. 🩷

Lunch was at the cutest waterfront spot, Koko Cabana, where we enjoyed an incredible meal, an amazing waiter, and some of the freshest, most delicious food! 🌴🍽️

After lunch, moms had a few hours of FREE TIME, and we meant it! 😂 They explored historic downtown Southport, headed to the beach, enjoyed the pool and hot tub, took a nap, or simply did whatever brought them joy. And honestly, that might have been one of the most important parts of the day. Permission to rest. Permission to choose yourself. Permission to do nothing at all.

We came back together in the early evening for another beach activity and discussion before splitting into small groups for dinner. Some grabbed takeout, some checked out local favorites, and some met up with friends. No agenda. No expectations. Just connection. 🩷

And then, of course, we ended the night together in the giant kitchen with ice cream sundaes, fresh hot cookies, and one more meaningful conversation. 🍦🍪

We painted stone to take home as little reminders of this retreat, this season, and the moments of rest and connection we shared here.

Day two was full of laughter, reflection, delicious food, deep conversations, quiet moments, and so much joy.

Most importantly, it was another day of reminding nine incredible women that they do not have to walk this journey alone. 🩷

This is Foster Your Soul.
This is community.
This is connection.
This is what happens when moms get a chance to breathe. 🌊🩷

🌊🩷 FOSTER YOUR SOUL: DAY ONE 🩷🌊

Day one of our FYS Foster & Adoptive Mom Beach Retreat was everything we hoped it would be. 🥹

All 9 incredible moms arrived safely in Oak Island, and we kicked off our retreat with an amazing welcome dinner, followed by a walk to the beach to watch the sunset. 🌅

There were meaningful conversations, honest reflection, laughter, and moments to simply breathe and be surrounded by women who truly understand the journey.

And of course, the night ended with one of our favorite things… a late-night kitchen chat. 🩷

We are so incredibly thankful for this beautiful group of women and for the community we have built together and continue to build. Because no foster or adoptive mom should ever have to walk this journey alone.

Here’s to a weekend of rest, connection and encouragement.🌊✨
