It’s all in the details ✨

Back in April, I married my best friend! And I did it in the prettiest earrings from !

I’m not sure how many of you remember this, but about a year and a half ago I loaned out my “wedding earrings” to my sister for her special day. You see, I had been saving these Starfish Project earrings for well over a year at that point for MY wedding—even though I was single as a Pringle when I first bought them! Even then, I knew God was writing my story and working the details out in His timing, and I trusted He would one day reward me for my patience. And boy, did He ever, when I eventually met the man I now get to call my husband!

Those wedding earrings turned into OUR wedding earrings (mine and my sister’s, that is!), and somehow looked amazing with both of our dresses (if you scroll back in our feed a bit, you can probably find her photo as well)! Not only are they beautiful, high quality, and well-made, but they’re made with the utmost love and care by a woman who’s been through hell, and is coming out smiling and stronger than ever. They’re made by a survivor of human trafficking who’s been given a second chance at life and is making the very most of it!

While we don’t have this pair in stock at the moment, we do have some gorgeous “formal” jewelry options from Starfish Project that would make the perfect bridal, bridesmaid, MOB, MOG, or wedding guest look!

A special thank you to my incredible wedding photographer for these amazing detailed shots from our day!

There are a lot of pros and cons to being a small business owner (though *technically* I’m actually “director” and not “owner,” since we’re a nonprofit!)…but one of my favorite perks might be the ability to gift my best friends some of my favorite fair trade finds when I got married last month!

My bridesmaid gifts looked a little something like this (and with our help, yours can too!):
• Velvet cosmetic pouch from
• Baby hoop earrings (to wear on wedding day) from
• Cosy socks from (some of my bridesmaids got sporty socks instead!)
• Lotion, bath salts, bath bomb and candle from
• Hand-written note in a super cute card from

I threw in some other fun goodies, like mugs from , but ya get the gist! I wanted these gifts to represent the artisans who made them while being things my friends would actually use. My favorite part was choosing colors, patterns, and scents that fit each personality, so each combo was unique in its own way!

Pretty enough to be a coffee table book, but full of SO much more goodness in those pages!

The Gospel Changes Everything is a 365-day devotional book from focused on—you guessed it!—the gospel. It encourages and equips us to meditate daily on the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ, to apply gospel truths to our everyday lives, to see Christ in all of scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, and to go to the truth of the gospel first in every situation of life.

We have this devotional and more in stock from The Daily Grace Co., along with plenty of their awesome Bible studies too! And fun fact: I just used one of these devotionals as the guest book for my wedding—such a cool way to remember that day, God’s promises throughout it, and the loved ones surrounding us on it!

Spring is here, and with it come so many fun excuses to get dressed up—from church on Sunday to proms to weddings! We love helping our customers choose items with purpose for the special days in their lives.

Starfish Project has some of our favorite special occasion jewelry—gorgeous, quality pieces that you can wear and keep for years to come, sharing and supporting the stories of the ladies who hand-craft each item!

Does anyone else have a hard time believing these bracelets are made from paper beads?! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Well, believe it!

The Bead Project’s signature stretchy bracelets are thoughtfully created by women artisans in Pader, Uganda. They come in all sorts of colors and combos, so you can wear them individually or stack them (we even have a few with charms to add into the mix!). By purchasing these bracelets, you support not only beautiful jewelry, but also the women who made them. Beyond supporting their families, they’re able to participate in programs to help with their spiritual growth, business and leadership training, economic empowerment, and agricultural development.

These bracelets are so much more than just jewelry! They mean community, friendships, developed skills, and, most importantly, hope.

This one is a scent we seriously can’t get enough of! New to the .landing collection, Heirloom Apple smells like a crisp morning combined with your grandma’s kitchen—and we’ve JUST added lotion in this scent to the shop as well!

My advice—grab one while you can, as we have very limited stock and have been having a hard time getting these re-stocked lately. So if you’re a Hope’s Landing candle or lotion lover (as I know so many of you are!), run, don’t walk, to stock up while you can!

“Would you like to round up to support our nonprofit?”

It’s a really simple question—one that you probably hear a good bit from different businesses. Maybe it’s for a community program like Food Lion Feeds or a more well-known organization like St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Here, it’s extra personal—since we’re a nonprofit ourselves, you know exactly where that extra bit of change is going. And trust me, that extra little bit really does go a long way!

Last year, our total donations thanks to our “round up” feature were $636.90–and we want you to know exactly where that went! Our end of year gifts to partner organizations were spread out among several, but one that benefitted from your rounding up was SutiSana, a ministry of the nonprofit Project Suma. SutiSana works in Bolivia to not just create jobs for women who have been trafficked and exploited, but to help give them abundant life. They offer empowering employment in a healing-centered environment, focusing not just on the survivors, but their families as well.

We’re proud to support them in sharing the gorgeous handmade bags and pouches they create, as well as giving back to help them continue their work in Bolivia!
