Derrick Brown, already an SVP Partner and board member, decided to join the 2025 Together for Good Cohort since he felt like he could always learn more.

He shared “I have loved seeing the organization build a program so focused on it's vision. Being a part of the Cohort helped me understand full circle the true value of SVP. It allowed me to better understand non-profits in our community. As an added bonus, I have met so many thoughtful humans and leaders that I have connected with beyond SVP!"

Derrick continued to say “The organization is full of individuals who have passion and a real desire to make a positive impact for our community."

"I love the power of community to reach far beyond the solo act of writing a check and into a thoughtful engaging conversation that makes the investment of money and time much greater and more meaningful.

Sitting side by side, in thoughtful conversation, about impact-driven work with human beings from a diverse range of professional and personal networks—a rare opportunity to develop new relationships with folks who care.

I am working with Wildflyer to help them build their dream alumni program; it's incredible to see a mutual vision come to fruition and to be involved not just with a financial investment but with hands (and hearts) on board. "
